Phone Problems
I dont know if anyone on here can help me but whenever I receive a text message it shows up as another persons name eg if its from Bryan it shows up as a text from Alison under the senders name why is this?
Also everyone except one friend of mine is receiving the texts I send out to them but the friend in question is not receiving my texts but I am receiving hers I have contacted my network providers (O2) and they have tested my phone and cant find any fault with it but they are probably saying this to avoid having to re imburse me for the texts she has not received as they are telling me that the texts I have sent to her have gone through to her successfully... My friend did however receive a text sent to her from me which was sent from my Dads phone which is on a different network (Vodaphone) So what is going on here? Is there a fault with my phone or with hers? Or could it be a problem caused by O2s network hence the fact Ive not received some of my friends texts either as she has just mentioned some I never had... I am confused

If you are being billed for the text messages (check your online bill) then they are being received into and being sent out of the O2 network, therefore it wont be a network fault at O2's side.
If your friend isn't receiving them then it will be either her settings, handset or network. Get her to try her sim card in another phone - if she gets them now it could be a handset fault of hers. You said your contacts are skrewed up... could it be that her number has also been screwed up on your phone? Can you call it? |

Silly question but have you matched the numbers to the proper owners names?

Does your friend have a samsung handset? If she does it is very easy to mistakingly block a number.
Get her to check in her settings for any blocked numbers to see if yours happens to be in there. Blocks on samsung handsets block only receving texts not calls so this could be where your text problem lies. |

The problem was solved today she had received the messages without knowing it becos they were stored elsewhere as once she deleted her screen messages they all came through! Where would they have been stored? and what are screen messages? And thanks to everyone on here who has tried to help me resolve this issue as your advice has been much appreciated... |

Screen messages? Never heard of it but is she on O2 by any chance? Those could mean the balance messages that appear when a text is sent or an outgoing call is ended.
