Me too - and I'd go a round or two with one or two of the girls as well!!
They've dumbed it down and poshed it up even more this year - and managed to push actual business even more to the sidelines......that's what happens when a GREAT BBC2 programme makes the move to mainstream BBC1, sadly.
Agtree with you about Nicholas, but quite liked Rafe. Thought I was going to dislike him, but he grew on me. Twice, when someone came on possible firing line, he stuck his neck out and tried to share the responsibility. At the end, I think he was trying to distance himself from Nicholas' idotic comments but it did not come out very well.

I'm in hysterics - known him since he was very young and he was a pretentious little prat then. I totally didn't recognise him till the aftermath programme - it was his mannerisms (weird neck movement) that got it for me.
"In Nicholas de Lacy-Brown however, there lies a man who is prepared to question such apathy. Undoubtedly a man of many talents, he has lived his short twenty-four years with a vivacity and boldness which few could achieve in a lifetime, most recently seen when standing up to the ruthless tongue of Alan Sugar as a contestant in the BBC show The Apprentice. "
When did he stand up for himself exactly? I must've blinked and missed that bit.
Well his dad is plain old Alan Brown - a solicitor. So the de lacy bit is definitely new. I think I remember my mum telling me that he had added that bit on a while ago.

No, he annoyed the hell out of me. Glad to see him humiliated and out in the first episode, although he would have been funny to laugh at for a couple of more shows.

I agree - he came across as a prize plonker, but it's the prize plonkers that make these programmes
Strangely, my step-daughter thought he looked like a vampire!
I disliked him in the main show but strangely warmed to him in the your fired show. He still deserved to go however, anyone stupid enough to make a boardroom argument based on class deserves whats coming to them.
Yes, he and Raef were totally odious. They clearly thought they were above a "dirty" task and the way they had such longwinded, pointless arguements and stupid games of one-upmanship, was really annoying. I softened towards Nick in the "you're fired" show because he seemed to have some humility and a sense of humour, but through the show I wanted both of them to be fired. I am so pleased Alex is there (not because he was good - he was average - but just because he is nice to look at )
I didn't much like either Raef or Nicolas. I didn't dislike Raef as much, but I know I wouldn't much like him if I met him in real life. He looks like a wet fish himself, as did Nicolas of course. How ironic, really!
