He and Raef both, I'd say. I think Alex indvertently put a gay/straight split in the group and that's what caused the real resentment.

At first I thought the toff thing was a red herring. Saw him on the You're Fired and defiinitely thought he was gay.

Alex split the group into the white jocks versus the minorities. He didn't realise he had done it but that was how I saw it and that was as soon as it happened, not at the end when they were discussing it.
Nicholas was spectacularly inarticulate in the boardroom but basically his comments about art and football were correct.
If it was split any way it was toffs vs working class. Personally I think the 'minorities' argument is a tad ridiculous as I bet Alex didn't even pick up on Nick's sexuality.

It was subliminal, but you cannot argue that Alex split the groups, it was his idea, he did it on his own, he called his side 'golden boys' and put all the dark ones in the other group. It wasn't split by class as most of both sides of the split were very similar in background, check them out. Alex even described himself as privately educated.
He put an Asian, a Greek and a white guy in one group. Not 'all the dark ones.' All the ones with posh accents. And even Nick said the divide was between the 'educated.' Even if it was just perceived 'education' which had no real basis in reality. I mean, they'd only known each other a day.

The split was nothing other than competant vs incompetant - the 3 supposed toffs or minorities were also the 3 who happend to make the 3 f*ck ups! They lost by about 120 quid, that group lost them 80 on the box the gave away to a solicitors office and at least 40 on underpicing the lobsters and monkfish.

I realised he reminds me of Scott Henshaw off I'm a celebrity.., which inclined me to think he was gay.
