I don't know why I thought about doing this, I was just playing. But I decided to view the source of the candidates' pages.

On some of their pages, the area which says the week they were fired is just commented out, but has no number in it. But then one of them does have a number.

This person:

Look at the source, and you can see when this person was fired.

I don't know how far the show filmed in advance, and whether this is just an oddity or whether there's merit behind it.

I stopped looking after that, because I really don't want to know! And I've not posted the details here... just in case there's validity to it.

Click View > Page Source in Firefox or View > Source in IE.

Search for the word fire.

Stuff that begins with < ! --- is commented out, i.e. not to appear when you see the page normally, but has been coded in.

You'll see the week number on the one I linked to. Two I looked at didn't have numbers. And I stopped, as I don't want to risk it just in case it's real.

Can someone please find them all out and post them in spoilers here? I can't do it as I'm on the iPod Touch and fear it'll be fixed by the morning.

What worries me the most is that one person doesn't have the Fire part in at all..... which would presumably make them winner????

Unless its a mistake.

Only 2 had week numbers edited in that I saw.

The rest all had Week then blank.

Okay, false alarm, I worked it out. I did give disclaimers.

I looked at the Google cached version of the old site. The BBC has used the exact same page names as before.

Looking at the previous person in that position it was Katie. The page source for the new person says week 11, and Katie was week 11. So I'd say it was left there.

Further to my theory posted above, the person with no text has the same page as Simon from last year. So again just indicating they've taken the old pages and just cut and paste new people's data. I thought they've have been better than that.

As I said, FALSE ALARM. Please read up the thread. I posted this thread as conjecture/discussion, but think I've now proven the point that it's just the way BBC created the pages based upon last year's candidates and left bits in.

O OK.

Thank you. Was a good thread while it lasted. I like Lindi but was quite suprised she would get that far. But you never know...
