In the boys team, They are all pompous pricks except the one who was team leader for the fish task.

He seems nice and down to earth and not up his own arse!!

I thought the team leader, Alex, was up himself too.

I think Nicholas had a point and that Alex was trying to make him a scapegoat. Even one of the other boys picked up on it, but I don't remember who. But Nicholas went about defending himself in the wrong way in the boardroom and deserved to be fired for that. Otherwise I would've wanted Alex to be fired. And I certainly don't think Alex is nice and down to earth.

No Alex cam off as being more down-to-earth than Nicholas and Raef (how could he not??) but didn't come across as being particularly nice. To go on a show like the Apprentice, you have to be egotistical and arrogant to some extent. Not mnay of the boys were given air time and Lee, Michael and possibly Kevin could prove to be okay. Raef is definately the most annoying but give the others a chance ...

I'm not Alex's biggest fan; but I've got to say when it came to the board room I was more than happy to see Nicolas De Lacy go - a man who thinks his biggest failure in life is getting a B in one GCSE is obviously so far up himself in my opinion that he deserved to get fired on sheer arrogance alone!!

Well I mostly agree with the OP, but not entirely. I think they were ALL, without exception, highly dislikable individuals, all right up their own backsides and I'm going to be watching this series for farce value.

At least Adam was likeable last year, even if he was a doughnut, and I had a heck of a lot of respect for Christina too, perhaps enough to like her, and she certainly was no doughnut!

I think Sir A would have done well to fire all three if he could. I find Raef almost as condescending and untrustworthy as Nicolas and I don't think much of Alex except that, as AMS said, he did show a little more backbone than the others. All the men were getting so visibly sweaty at the thought of having to stick their precious little necks on the line in that first task that I could almost smell the pooh smell eminating from some of their unattractive underpants. Raef looked close to tears at the prospect, and if it hadn't been for Alex they would have been there all day, with some individuals trying to shrink and slip away unoticed to avoid team leadership being thrust upon them. An apalling display!

Good point, I suppose Alex does deserve some credit for taking the risky role as leader, even if he didn't do too well at it.

It was hilarious how Raef squirmed when he was asked to be leader, after bragging about being a great manager. I'm glad he wasn't fired though, for entertainment value. He definitely won't win though!

Yeah I agree to a point. Went completely off Alex though when it became apparent early on that he is someone who looks to quickly allocate blame to get himself off the hook. If Raef and Nicholas had looked to argue around this rather than throw up a class war (with an ex barrow boy as judge !!!) they might have got a bit further.

And Nicolas simpering on about how he was an artist and couldn't be expected to like football. What a jerk! I blushed for him at that time; clearly he either knows nothing about Sir A or really wasn't bothered about impressing him! Sir A looked quite incredulous, as well he might.

I mean I don't bother much with football unless either England or Arsenal are playing, and then only if there's nothing better to do, but I'm darned if I'd say so to Sir A! Particularly the bit about Arsenal...

You'd have thought he'd have done a bit of research on Sir A before the show and known that he was both 'uneducated' (in Nicholas's estimation) and the former Chairman of Spurs. His whole line of argument in the boardroom seemed kamikaze.

He won't make it at the bar unless he seriously wises up, and that's that.
