OMG, How many adverts have they had on ?

I am not exaggerating when I say this program has had THE most ads I have every seen in 1 hour!

It's not the quantity of the ads that annoy me, it's the Chicago Town sponsor ads. If I hear that horrible blonde girl singing Girls Aloud again, I will scream and scream til I'm sick .

We never watch AI as TXd but record it on Sky+ and then fast forward through the endless ads. It's very sad that British TV, which 25 years ago used to have a very sensible policy of limiting ad breaks and then seemingly showing mostly clever commercials, has now descended to the level of other countries, where every programme is slashed to pieces by thrush cream products etc. Don't they realise they are pushing us further and further away, not drawing us in?!

The results show is the worst. All they have to do is tell us the fate of about nine people. They tell two of them then adverts, two more then adverts, that stupid phone questions thing, adverts, a guest singer, adverts, finally the last contestants hear their fate, the loser sings then end. It takes an hour but at least half that time is adverts. Grrrr.....

I agree.

Do you find yourself popping out to the kitchen to find something to munch on?

I particularly dislike the trio who sing, especially the little blonde boy on the left. He's so gah huh..

I remember reading somewhere that it's because of people V+/Sky+ ing the shows that the sponsor "bumpers" are becoming so important.

People use them to decide when to press play again, so they have to concentrate to look out for them. Which is why every single person reading this, including all of you who record and fast forward through the ads, will hear the same jingle in your head when you read the words "meat combo".

@rzt: I'm pretty sure the "voice-over guy" is Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller fame.

I love 'Meet Combo' Do tend to record AI, so don't really notice the ads too much.

I wonder if ITV donated the money from the ads for Give Back - wouldn't be too nice to profit from a charity show.
