Hmm, the trouble is I'd have a different order judging simply by performance, rather than judging who could best fit the role of Nancy. Sarah has a great voice and I loved her performance - I just don't see her as Nancy at all. Keisha and Samantha probably out-performed Jodie as well, but Jodie is (at the moment) my favourite for who I'd like to see in the role. These four were, for me, head and shoulders above the rest and, to be honest, I've already forgotten the others' performances....

...except for Tara, whose performance was unforgettable for quite another reason. For me, she takes the bottom spot in terms of both performance and suitability for the role, I'm afraid.

For me there is a HUGE gap between second and third as Keisha and Jodie are the only ones remotely suited to the role based on last night. Sarah has a beautiful voice but she isn’t a Nancy in a million years. Niamh, Sam and Jessie all have potentially great voices but they are not strong enough. Amy irritated me with trying to play it cute. Fran really disappointed me as she was great in Rent (the only person who was). Then you have Ashley, Rachel, Tara and Cleo who were beyond terrible.

Least liked for me Ashley and Amy.
OK - but not Nancy for me - Kaisha, Samatha and Jessie.
OK - and a possible Nancy - Francesca.
Top 3 - Jodie, Cleo and Rachel.

I'm afraid the others were forgettable.

Keisha and Jessie are my two favourite based on there first performances.

Thought that Tara was poor but Amy deserved to go as she sang such a boring and predictable song, and not very well either.

They were really the only ones that stood out for me for the right reasons. I thought Tara and Francesca were worst, the latter mainly because she should have been so much better.

There were a lot of good performances and only one stand-out person imo to go, but she didn't go.

I was blown away by Samantha but not sure yet that shes totally suitable for the role.

Same with Sarah - lovely lovely voice, but Nancy?? I can't see it.

Keisha really stood out but then again she was the only one who was given a ballad (from what i remember) and its always easier to shine when you're given the moving slow number

I can't help smiling and getting a warm fuzzy feeling whenever i see Jodie but it was slightly cabaret at times. Hopefully thats a tiny detail that will be ironed out quickly.

The only one you didn't mention who i liked was Rachel (Sugarbabes About You Now).

I also agree that Tara should have been out, i was cringing throughout. The other performances i didn't really rate.............

Ashley - the song didn't suit her at all
Francesca - a good voice but i feel really uncomfortable watching her.
Niamh - didn't like her voice much.

1. Jodie (Chasing Pavements) Love her voice, beautiful tone and great husky feel as though she's been hanging out in East End bars. Physically she's my perfect Nancy, and she has a great strength coupled with a gentleness that is pefect for the character.

2. Samantha (I Love Rock And Roll) - Great voice, good confident performance and feisty enough for Nancy. Great look too.

3. Niamh (First Cut Is The Deepest) - Lovely voice, and great acting skills of a tough vulnerabilty. If I could get away from my own personal idea that Nancy should be buxom, she'd fit the role beautifully.

4. Sarah (Get Here) - Again lovely voice and beautiful acting skills. She does look a bit innocent for Nancy - but that could be worked on.

5. Keisha (Mad About The Boy) - Great voice, but just too classy for Nancy

6. Cleo (Who Knew) - Disappointing on Saturday, but think she's got hidden depths.

7. Ashley (Black Velvet) - Far too over the top performance, thought she was a bit scary! If she toned it down a bit she could be ok. Physically a good look for Nancy.

8. Francesca (Hero) - Disappointing again - although her sing off performance showed that she's got a depth of acting skill. Apologies to everyone - but her lisp grates on me.

9. Rachel (About You Now) - Thought she was shrieking the song, didn't like all the fluffing up and grabbing of her hair and just find her a bit annoying.

10. Amy (Respect) - Oh dear. Not good.

11. Jessie (River Deep Mountain High) - Not the girl's fault at all, and she's probably really lovely, but I just find her mouth movements really irritating! Physically she's great for the part, and her voice is ok (don't think she's as wonderful as the judges seem to). Something about her I just find really unappealing - and Nancy to my mind has to be a very endearing character. Jessie just not right IMHO.

12. Tara (Suddenly I See) - Just wrong for the part, wrong song, wrong dress, wrong pronunciation "suddenly I see-yah, this is what I worna be-yah" Pretty girl though.
