I understand... i think. I think fragile doesn't just mean physically but mentally you know. She's very strong in the mind, she cried after Valerie week but that was understandable. That upset me. She's not fragile or weak at all. And she's not that short. I mean, look at her standing next to the other Nancy's. She's hardly a midget is she?!

Hehe, I love I Got The Music In Me. She's got so much confidence in it, and after her first sing off, although she was still fantastic, I don't think we ever really saw such a level of confidence again. But as I said, she was still amazing each week. I agree with you, she looks gorgeous and I love the great comments she gets there - shame the judges suddenly turned on her.

Yep, I got the Music in Me was amazing. I loved that bit at the end where her voice goes up and down. One of you will probably know the proper term for it!

I could never get the 'fragile' thing about Niamh either. She has a very classical, pale / dark beauty that I suppose can evoke feelings of wanting to protect her, but off stage she comes over as sassy and feisty in a nice understated way, as well as having her feet on the ground - not fragile or vulnerable at all. The judges did seem to use it against her towards the end, which was a bit unfair. (Sorry, I'm still p****d off with the unjustified comments she got for Don't Speak, particularly as it was her last solo).

The Don't Speak criticism did annoy me as I thought Niamh did what she was asked that week and that her vocal was perfect. I do think they dressed her like a child for it though and that did her no favours with the panel. That was the wardrobe department's fault though and not hers.

I agree here. I think the fact she was dressed as a teenager played a big part in Denise's "teenager having a tantrum" comment (couldn't quite see it myself, I thought it was one of her best performances)

I thought her vocal was fantastic in Don't Speak, actually the only performance I thought wasn't quite as good as the others was Valerie - but I still love that too!

Not sure, I thought she sang it well, though not the best song to show off what she can do. I think it was her choice (?) under pressure to show she could be feisty. Which she did, and then she got criticised for having a tantrum . And being too small.

Hi Holly Oaks. I was having a giggle to myself this morning reading last night's posts. Some of the most vociferously anti-Niamh forum members are now saying "I don't think much of the 3 we have left in terms of acting skills, maybe we shouldn't have been so quick to dismiss Niamh. She could act". I'm not saying I agree with them but I did think "hell slap it up you".

Oops peaceablegenie, I was going to hold my peace and perhaps I still should but as you ask... She just didn't impress me on Saturday night. Rachel's Cabaret blew me away and I have to say I thought they made the wrong decision. I know that's not Sam's fault but that along with the fact that she didn't impress me with the acting task, sorry. My heart has sort of gone out of it now. I would still much rather Sam won than Jessie though!

Hey. Nice to see we're still going strong in here. I agree with quite a bit that's been said this morning. I really think they're missing out on the star in the last 3 now. She could really act. I'm unsure about the final 3, I really am. If pushed I would say Jodie to win.
