Sorry if I’m behind you ‘regulars’ but I saw IDA a couple of weeks ago and I’ve just checked out some of the clips & found this forum.

Niamh just blew me away with Wind Beneath My Wings. I can’t remember when I last saw a singer who’s so compelling. Have you noticed how the audience go hushed when she is about to sing? I’m not sure she is quite my idea of Nancy, but with that talent and stage presence she could be a serious star. WOW! I’d love to see her in concert.

I was disappointed she was in the sing-off last week, but I suppose ‘Valerie’ wasn’t really her thing. It sound that she has something better this week.
Completely agree with you; Wind Beneath My Wings has been my favourite performance of Niamhs by far (I'd maybe go as far as to say my favourite in the competition) It was just absolutely stunning. I also agree with what you say about Niamh maybe not being Nancy. If she were to win the part, I'd be thrilled, but then I do wonder if she is Nancy. But regardless, I think there is so much more for her out there. Her voice is just beautiful.

Also, you say she has something better this week. Do you know what song she is singing?

No, I don't think we get to know - on her last video clip she says she is happier with the song she has been given. I'll be in France so I'll have to catch up on the web when I get back.

Yay! A good performance from Niamh.

I'm really pleased she did well as she was so disappointed with herself last week.

Even though I think she is very good, she may struggle to get through because lots of people don't think she is right for Nancy. I hope that I am wrong and that she avoids the sing off.

I love that John has such faith in her that she could play Nancy, it makes me like him even more.

So happy for Niamh tonight! I am already starting to worry about next week though, if Ashley doesn't leave I fear it'll be Niamh.

Yeh same with me holly oaks. I fear all the annoyed Sarah fans will vote for Ashley just to piss ALW off leaving niamh in a dangerous position but all we can do is keep supporting niamh! She did well this week and am delighted to see her through to next week avoiding the singoff! She's doing really well for herself!

I thought Niamh's performance was great last night, much better than last week. I too though am worried about her place in the competition, though we must remember that the majority of the public will be voting for who they like and if such strong contenders as Rachel and Sarah can be in the bottom 2 the girl stands good a chance as any if she pulls some good performances out of the bag.

Niamh seems to have got through on the votes that Rachel may have got last week (both are from the same place roughly). With Rachel not so well liked over the past couple of weeks, Niamh might just hold those votes, lets hope so.

She did get the best of compliments tonight in the Barbara Windsor clip with a couple of people marking her up as believable. Its going to be a tought fight at the end between Jessie, Sam and Niamh.

I felt for Niamh tonight, she was clearly in shock!

Especially when everyone was hugging her and she was gping "what...? what...?" she must have genuinely believed she was in the sing-off

I knew the results, and her face was painful to look at, she was so nervous! i was screaming at the TV going "YOUR THRU NIAMH YOUR THRU!!"

Agree with that, I was watching it, knowing Niamh was through, and she just looked like she was going to faint or something! But I was so pleased for her, and she was obviously so shocked to get through. I also liked how Niamh was the first to run up to Sarah at the end of Sarah's "As Long As He Needs Me" and hug her; and I've noticed how Niamh always seems to be one of the first to run up to whoever has just been eliminated. I think this shows what a lovely girl she is

yeah definitely! and the tears streaming down her face aswell, bless.

it was funny cos the camera panned to the Nancys that were thru when they had selected the bottom 2, and Niamh wasnt visible, and my mum went "O sweet Jesus, the girls collapsed"

LOL I did wonder where she was. Hopefully she'll escape the bottom two next week, but I am doubtful. But I have a feeling Jodie is losing public support and I think Ashley will be out soon, so I'm starting to wonder if Niamh can make the final? I don't think it'll happen but it'd be great if she did
