"I'm not just going to win, I'm going to thrash the losers..."

Why cant they get new catchphrases?

They say the same thing every series
"I will win because I always win"
"I won't just win, I'll destroy the others"
etc

Then we see that most of them are pretty pretty useless!

If they were any good, they'd already be on £100k+!

(PS My wife says 'get a life' at me for posting in here)

If your wife had a life, she wouldn't have enough time to tell you to do so. And she married you, so she's just as bad, if not worse

Anyway - I think the interview process prior to the show gives us these characters. It'd be nice to be more 'interesting' with the selection, though that wouldn't be what Sir Alan wants, it's not like he's just giving them money for nothing at the end.

Really, it's not the best prize.

I guess you dont apply to a show like this unless you are fairly confident and well if you apply then you want to win and think you have a good chance so maybe thats why they say 'I will win' ect

It would be good if they could do this without being so aggressive though. It is possible to be successful without being agressive or spiteful. I do like the programme, but I don't like the contestants and I am afraid the BBC is going down the mob mentality route by encouraging people to think that they only way to get on is to be quite foul. I say this after having read a spoiler about this coming Wednesday's episode.

It was Sara that said this if IIRC. Full of hot air and no substance imo, I look forward to seeing her as team leader.

To be honest I haven't warmed to any of them this year as yet. The girls came across better than the guys but we didnt really see too much of them, it seemed to vocus more on the guys.

I haven't seen any spoilers yet so am in ignorance still

The spoiler is in the news link at the top of the forum. I don't like any of them yet either. Not one. But then, it's early days I suppose.
