Delirious are ok, but I'm a bit "old school". My favourite Christian artists is without doubt Larry Norman. Check out his album "Upon This Rock". A classic.

Delirious? are amazing, I saw them live twice last year at Greenbelt and at the NEC

But my favourite Christian band are a ska band called Sounds of Salvation. I've seen them live 5 times and have their CD, although they're better live than on the recordings. I love them because they have a real vitality and energy, which can be seen at the gigs in the members of the band and in their fans. They've done some great original songs and amazing cover versions of 'traditional' hymns.

They rock I'd recommend people check them out, they have a facebook and a website, and tour quite a lot across the country

Delirious and Hillsong ( especially United but I also like the Darlene Zschech led group ) are tremendous worship bands. Delirious live are especially good, check out Live at Walnut Creek if you haven't already ).

I also like Matt Redman , Tim Hughes and Chris Tomlin. Tims last album, Holding Nothing Back was amazing.

My real no 1 favourite Christian band however are Casting Crowns - 3 albums to their name, and the latest "The Alter and the Door" is up to their usual high standard - they are a band who devote much of their time to touring their material and spreading Gods Word through their inspirational music, but also still are actively involved in youth ministry. Check out "Who Am I " as the perfect introduction to this band.

Another band I enjoy are Leeland - I saw them on the God Channel performing at Frenzy Edinburgh last year and their debut album Sound of Melodies is a strong debut album from a young but talented Christian.

Jars of Clay......brilliant band. I dislike Delirious? as IMHO they haven`t released a good CD since King of Fools.
Love Switchfoot too though they distance themselves from the `Christian` tag these days.

Sorry ( nah, not really ) to resurrect an old thread but I was at Frenzy 08 in Edinburgh yesterday...what an awesome day - Delirious?, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Rebecca St James, Leeland, Phil Whickham, YFriday - two absolute highlights - Leeland , second year in a row at Frenzy and this young man and his band are really connecting with Gods word and bringing it to our generation - and Chris Tomlin - I wasn't expecting this to be a highlight but his show was amazing - a true act of worship connecting with close to 10,000 Christians - which brings me to the point of my post - a highlight of Chris' set was "God of this City" , a cover of a Belfast Band - Bluetree who I am now going to check out ...simply amazing, moving, inspirational.

I know a little Christian Music. I like Amy Grant. I know a little Larry Norman but I moved on to Van Morrison, who has the muse work through him most of the time. ' No Guru, No Method, No Teacher....'

I'm not hugely into "Christian" music as such but one band I do love are Iona.

The TAIT 'Lose this Life' album is one of my favourites of any genre and also the Newsboys 'In the Hands of God' is pretty good too.

I used to like Jesus and the Mary Chain, but think they sound a bit dated now.
