I just thought this could be fun - we predict now before it goes too far, who we think will be in the final 3 and then we can either smile smugly or hide behind our cushions on final night - so here I go first ....

It is Sunday 30th March, the day after the live show and before the result show tonight.

Ooh, what fun! The favourites now might not make it through - just look at Daniel and Rob, neither of whom made the final of ADWD (although of course Lee was bound to be there). And in this game we may have to put our own favourites to one side, as we're trying to second-guess the GBP and the Lord...

I remember from HDYSAPLM, Helena was in the sing-off loads (as was Lewis last year) but still got through to the final - we've got to try and guess the way ALW is thinking, cos it's not always the same as the public.

I am amazed at this backing Francesca business. Frankly, she could have a fanbase of hundreds among all the west end stars, but she was bloody terrible last night. She may have sung one note in key through her whole song, but I missed it if she did.

I'm sure she's a nice person, but she has got no chance of winning this competition, and imho she has got no chance of making the final three.

But then I thought Helena had no chance - I suppose even the most unpopular performer can get through to the latter stages if ALW is determined to champion them.

There's a couple of close others, (Samantha and Jodie), but those are the three I reckon might well be in the final three.

I'm very torn, cause the ones I like I suspect won't get into the final three. But the ones I think will are:

To be honest, I would have actually included Samantha in my 3, but chose Francesca because despite the new BBC guidelines and suchlike, I'm still cynnical about these programmes and how they pick those to go through, although she wasn't great last night she clearly has talent and may be seen as the 'safe' option, I can see ALW keeping her in just in case others falter.

I know some of the other have worked professionally though anyway, and she certainly isn't a standout like Connie or Lee were, but with the whole saga of the 'will she, won't she?' episode the other week it still felt like they'd do their best to keep her on even if the public didn't particularly take to her at first. Her performance was relatively poor to almost everyone who's posted here yet the panel hardly criticized her.

I think Francesca was definitely the better of the two in the sing off and a lot better than she was on the main show.

Way to early for me to predict final 3 but can I predict that DVO will go on to date the winner?

Cleo could oust one of them though, if she lifts her game a bit.

I agree with your 5 and would add Ashley instead of Cleo purely because I have heard her say she is Scottish on more than one occassion.

I also think Jessie and Jodie will be first to leave these 6.
