I remember them doing that in Maria a few times - there was more than once when Helena "would have been out" but was saved by The Lord.

God, Amy was terrible just now. Francesca is really good. I'm also fascinated by her teeth somehow.

Amy is a trained performer too, and has worked professionally .

I wasn't bowled over by any of them yesterday . Like Jessie and Cleo .

Can someone explain why Francesca is described as the professional and not Amy? Amy has also worked professionally.

I know she has done West End but surely any working actress is a pro?!!!!!!

It will be interesting to see what Jodie does over the next few weeks, I think she's got real potential to shine. I hope she gets the right song choices, mind you I want Jessie to win though!!

Ah Be Back Soon ... how cringeworthy!!!!!

Followed by a vile, nasal version of As Long as He Needs Me.

I love that song so much I'm going to probably have to give up on this programme if week on week the girls are going to murder it.

You were told why. Oliver isn't Welsh. Therefore whoever plays him can't sing in a Welsh accent.

Amy's last note shows why she's out of there! I hate to hear that lovely song only to have it murdered on the very last note!

That said, Harry Secombe was Bumble in the film!!!

Sticking on the Welsh theme, Charlotte Church would be a fantastic Nancy. I think they should have gone for celebrity casting rather than this feeble shower of girls.

I hope we never have to go through it sung as bad as that again. Horrendous.

How did she make the last 12??

But it will be more fun after this week. Their nerves will subside and we'll get better performances.

You could tell that was recorded yesterday - no genuine pretence of it being live - the girls kept moving around the studio too fast for it to be filmed in real time. For instance Amy finished her exit song all alone, the camera cut to a wide shot and then almost immediately back to her being hugged by everyone but there was no way they all got up the stairs that fast.

Amy was definitely weaker than Francesca but even she wasn't that good. I had tears in my eyes when Amy sang her last bits - yes she murdered it but it is awful to go home first. Love Jodie for saying something like "go girl" to her.

Love "Tell me on a Sunday" forgotten which musical it is from though, please enlighten me someone.

I agree. She will go onto West End Stage one day when she feels like it I'm sure!!

I thought that the Song Amy sang going was beautiful I was on the brink of tears.

I didn't watch the show yesterday but from the flash backs I thought Andrew looked slightly bored.

It is a bit cruel but it always annoys me in reality shows when the person who receives the most votes from the public gets to stay. I also like the fact that the voting gets gone between the two shows and not all week.
