heh, "Tell Me On A Sunday" is from "Tell Me On A Sunday" by ALW

the most recent West End production had DVO in it (for the first part of the run anyway ).

"Tell Me on a Sunday" was from "Tell Me on a Sunday" which in turn came from "Song and Dance"

He could be anything as long as whoever he grew up with for long enough spoke in that accent. It complicates things but its not a killer.

I don't think she will suffer for that - on what we've heard so far, she can do the job of putting people off all by herself, poor lass..... though she deserved to be saved on the basis of the elimination song

Did not like either of the two though thought that Amy was more endearing. I don't think francesca will last long. I like Sarah, Samantha and Jessie. Really dislike Tara.

What a coincidence.

Francesca known by DVO.

Conspiracy theorists form an orderly queue here, please -

If that Welsh boy wins, I'm sure they will give him vocal coaching so he speaks with a east end accent. It;s such a part of the musical IMO. It would be very weird. Whoever wins will have lots of vocal coaching anyway, perfecting the accent will be part of that I'm sure.

I can't believe two of my three favourites (the other being Jodie) were in the bottom two! I think the right person out of those two went in the end.

Its like Jospeh all over agian though, they sing that final note and I'm wishing them back! I love the final song, it works brilliently meshing the two together like that.

Oh and if bloody Tara is still there this time next week... well I'll still be watching. But I'll be angry! lol

So did I and I am Welsh . I haven't caught her in any Welsh soap .

I thought virtually all the song choices were terrible , Kaisha had the best of it .
And whoever told Jessie to do an impersonation of Tina .? I do like Her though .

I thought Francesca blasted Amy out of the sing off. Much better than her performance yesterday

Actually "Tell Me On A Sunday" came first, and was combined in to "Song and Dance" at Cameron Mackintosh's suggestion.

Eeek! CamMack is in on it as well! More conspiracy theories!

How Tara managed to stay out of that sing off I will never know, she was the worst last night by a country mile.

But based on the two that were in it, it was the right decision IMO. Francesca sweetie, now is the time to up your game.

Better songs for next week would be on my wish list.

Thats the mess they have got themselves into. He wants Amy Winehouse he says but Amy Winehouse would get fewer votes than Amy Nancy on this show as she is very rough and an acquired taste. . The people who can rough up the song and/or act well are not getting votes or didn't get to the last 12.

Its going to be the good singer who can act a bit at this rate but we won't know who that is yet. Jessie now has a clear run as Amy was her competition in the looks/type of Nancy stakes, She's almost the last one who screams out different and interesting. Samantha we havn't seen acting much at all yet . Francesca looks hobbled by the pro tag that hasn't stuck to the other pros - she's going to turn into Helena as a way ALW has to vote anyone else off. Jodie looks right and may sound oK but can she act? Sarah can sing but she needs to become rougher Evening Standard selling Sarah to win.

Well I still theorise that Francesca has been brought along in to the thing as an established pro to give the other girls something to aim at when they are training during the week, and she will be dispensed with very late in the series, but will definitely be dispensed with, along with the other pro, and she knows it - a bit like the pacemakers that run with the big name distance runners to keep them at the right speed to finish well and then drop back at the last minute to let the big name take the glory. This way ALW ends up with a much better finished-off girl because she will have had to try harder to match the two pros.

I think she deliberately sung badly last night so as to dispell all the conspiracy and fix claims and then switched the effort back on tonight (well ok recorded last night) so as to stay in.

I bet she is nowhere near as bad next week.

Of course I first developed this theory based on "why would someone like Francesca who already has all the West End contacts need to appear on this show". If Francesca genuinely is as bad as she was last night (and just fluked Rent) then maybe it's obvious why she needs to do the show!!!

I actually liked the emotion in Amy's performance in the sing off even though overall I preferred Francesca.

Totally agree about the pop songs though - I love it when they sing the songs they do so well - there are so many wonderful songs they could do that are not Girls Aloud or Sugababes etc. I said this over and over in ADWD so won't harp on again (she says ) I still like Jodie, Jessie, Sarah, Rachel and Cleo (I can see her as Nancy) so am glad they went through. Felt for Amy and her family though - they get me all emotional when they do that last song - and this is only show 1

The Sing off is surely only for the Viewers entertainment. I doubt very much that it changes anything

Give over with the Welsh accent comments !!!

I hope you are all going to be so negative about Geordie ., Scots , Irish , West Country etc accents .

Racist comments are socially unacceptable in this country .

Let's see who else has a Welsh accent .....I wonder?

Ioan Gruffudd , Matthew Rhys , Gethin Jones, Katherine Jenkins ., Aled Jones , Charlotte Church , Tony Hopkins , Ton Jones , The Manic Street Preachers , The Stereophonics . Oh and so did Richard Burton . Bryn Terfel ..no one worries about him singing Italian opera in a Welsh accent .

No doubt if he has the part , he will learn the lines WITHOUT the accent .

The viewers obviously aren't voting for Francesca because it has been reported that she is the Chosen One. She doesn't do a lot for me, I'm afraid.

And Sarah is the most annoying person in the show for me. I'm glad she isn't getting the support. She reminds me a bit of Michele Dotrice, who I never liked either.

She's just wrong for the part and shouldn't get much further.

agree, but would oliver, who was dumped at an early age in a workhouse come out of there with a lovely plum accent?

Thought the Olivers were so cute singing.

I didn't like the way both girls sung 'Tell Me On A Sunday' as the sing off song. Something about it just didn't sit right, I don't know what it was

You know what, I think she really can. During the first audition show, I thought she was just there for the comedy value, but in the second, they showed a teeny clip of her doing 'I'm not that girl' and I thought her acting was amazing. Although I like quite a few of the other girls, I think that Jodie might be the only one who could do justice to all facets of Nancy's character, the love for sykes, the hard street urchin, the oom pah pah party girl.

Oliver isn't from London. He had to walk 150 miles to get to London when he ran away. The last thing he would have is an East End accent. Northern, Midlands, Welsh etc..all acceptable - East end no way.

It was just a bit cruel, that's all, seeing as one of them was going to be told 'on a Sunday' (today) that she wasn't wanted any more.
Incidentally it was sad too that it was the least pretty one of the 12 who got the heave-ho.

to sum up,it doesnt really matter what accent the boy has who wants to play oliver.

It does matter - Oliver came from 150 miles away from London, so he can't have an east-end accent. ALW has already said that he should sound like he's from "The North"..though what that means in ALW's world who knows.... anyone North of the M25 probably ..
