It looked like Capt John was feeling sorry for Owen

How can I still be watching, if I've only just watched the finale? There's nothing after that to watch.

It's not for you to get snotty with me if i don't meet your expectations of what I should say on here. Go search my posts, I don't make a habit of stirring in Cult, I'm honestly annoyed with how things have turned out in Torchwood series 2.

I don't know who Chris Chibnall is. Do I have to pass an exam to speak here?

Well, how good was that!

I'm glad that Owen's finally gone (althought I did feel a bit sorry for him at the end). But I'm gutted about Tosh. Very gutted.

Nice twist about Jacks's brother being the bad guy, and Capt. John really being a good guy.

It's a bit of a shame that TW only started getting really good so late in the series.

But that was a seriously good episode!

Didn't "upset" me at all this episode, less than last years for some reason? It was good, a bit rushed, and maybe taking advantage of timelines a bit too much.

It's not going to go anywhere now they have killed 2 main characters off, Robin Hood/marian anyone?

He may well have done, but I don't think it's likely. As death scenes go, both Tosh and Owen got fantastic ones, best to let them go I think....

It's not a paradox.

It's just a plot hole

Was Capt Jack, the only one able to access the vaults, and this would explain why no one else had access, could alos explain he knew his body was frozen, but not why.

When Capt John, passed the ring, he would have recognized it, and knew everything would be ok

it was good drama but not what I want from a last episode. There was no real story in my opinion, it was all geared towards the (probable) exit of two main characters.

Having said that, there is no reason why the series can't continue with new characters. After all, Doctor Who has been doing it for 45 years.

We never see Owen Dying, after making the reactor safe

So possible Owen makes some appearances in some episodes

Which was nice, given Torchwood's theories on death being just darkness.

I think Burn was being optimistic, perhaps giving the Powers That Be a hint that he would like some acting work next season please?

Great episode tonight, but sad to see Owen seemed to be killed ... again.

I'm not entirely sure what effect the exposure to a large dose of gamma radiation (the only certain result of what happened in the reactor where he was) would have on what is essentially a dead but preserved body. Whilst it would mean certain death to living cells as they can no longer function normally and steadily degenerate, Owen's cells aren't functioning at all anyway so won't degenerate because of exposure to radiation, just as they can't regenerate either.

The option is certainly there to bring him back if they want to, I think.

Polite question about plot holes from a regular viewer (not an obsessive).

They've got a gadget that erases memories, as used at Gwen's wedding, right? Yet the next week there's an episode about a mother discovering her son on an island, all messed up, and Gwen all guilty about not having trusted Jack and kept her nose out? Why didn't they use the magic retcon gadget on the distraught mother at the end, or at least discuss why not to use it?

That's why I like it half the time and dislike it the other half. It aspires to be deep, but it isn't.

Even if it was infact nuclear radiation. That well-behaved stuff that stays in when you close the doors, of course.

Actually reminded me of the end of Terminator 3 where the nukes are dropping, but it's kind of sad and inevitable and beautiful in a way.

Thay have a pill that erases peoples short term memories (and a week passed before Gwen went to see her), plus the mother wanted closure and if she had been given the pill it would have ruined the entire episodes emotional punch. Plus it put Gwen in her place (not being able to save everyone)
