Fair enough. No point suffering for the sake of one episode.

I don't think so, unless you're basing this advice on spoilers.

Adam had a 'memory' of Gray in it, which may have a bearing, but not to an extent that it would be necessary to see that episode to follow this one, I would have thought.

Last week's relevance is only that (from wiki)
Spoiler
When the team reunites, they discover that the SUV is missing. Jack receives a holographic message from Captain John Hart, who reveals himself to be behind the bombs and shows Jack an image of his long-lost brother Gray. He then vows to tear Jack's world apart, so Jack would spend time with him.

Okay, but I don't see how that's going to spoil Yoonix's enjoyment of the episode.

There's bound to be a few bits and pieces of 'continuity' like Owen's deadness on display, but I'd imagine the story is more or less standalone.

Suffering? Oh shut up. If you don't want to watch it, don't watch it. Jeez .

This is where Doctor Who fans differ from Torchwood fans, a lot of Torchwood fans will watch doctor who and praise it's good episodes, a lot of a Doctor Who fans will spend the time that Doctor Who's not on, slagging off torchwood simply out jealousy that we have something good to watch while your stuck waiting for the next new series of who.

Not necessarily the reason your like it, but it tends to be the reason why others are.

At least that's what I think it is.

Anyway, Yoonix it's your loss if you don't watch, but I highly recommend you do. You can catch fragments (last week's ep) on iplayer for the first part you don't really need to see Adam though it helps.

But Yoonix did see 'Fragments' - and enjoyed it. (Although he still voted Very Poor):

Calm down lad! And enough with the generalisations!

Cheers, Slug.

So Owen's dead. Romero-style or Jack-style?
So John's bombs. SUV gone. Gray is CJ's lost brother.

That all I need?

Apart from the fact that we've never seen them in the same room together, do you have any other evidence to back up your claim that Yoonix and Rooks are one and the same?

Sorry TS, it just really pees me off when in the episode threads who fans point rate very good episodes 'very poor' and try to find fault where there is none. Yet don't like it when it's done on Doctor Who threads.

I know that not everyone will like an episode. But there's something odd about people who constantly don't like it yet still watch it and who don't see much fault in their own show's bad episodes.

I would think so.

I hope you enjoy it, and I hope I enjoy it too, but you know, nothing's guaranteed!

You shitstirring again?

Sorry to disappoint, but if you wish me to vote "Very Poor" for this episode, I can. If you like, you can tell me when you're watching the stats, and I'll magically make the "Very Poor" count rise by 1 before your very eyes!

Ignore him, Slug. Mickey is just a nasty troll attempting to have me banned once again for absolutely nothing. I'm sure DS can verify the authenticity of Mickey's claim, and mine here, should they wish to do so.

I think it would be healthier to just be a little less possessive about it. Neither show 'belongs' to any one of us. For that reason I'm just grateful if I enjoy what I watch.

What does it matter if someone else doesn't enjoy it?

Sid - this is why we don't like the episode threads started too early!

I don't want to get involved in anyone else's battles - it's sad enough when I occasionally get embroiled in my own.

If I see an assertion or argument that is questionable then I reserve the right to question it - from whichever side of the "Battle for Doctor Who's Soul" it comes from.

Well, Digital, I do sympathise. Sure it happens for the "very poors" as much as it does for the "excellents". If I find fault with an episode, I'll certainly say so, be it TW or DW. I certainly won't continue watching if there's nothing of any worth in the show. As for this episode, I watched the first with James Marsters, and thought it great fun - probably the best episode of TW I've seen as it threw all the junk about relationships and darkness and arguments, etc. out the window and delivered 45 minutes of pure fun. So I was always looking forward to the other episode with James Marsters, and always intended to watch it, just on the promise of the first. However it turns out, good or bad, at least I'll be honest about it.

Owen's dead - same as Jack then?

No.

He died, but was brought back with a resurrection glove. He's still dead in that he lacks circulatory/respiratory functions except where necessary to the plot!

The obvious indication of his state of unwellbeing is the elastoplast on his hand.

Oh, and he is staying in this undead state by virtue of residual energy that could dissipate completely at any time. When that happens, he's slug food.

I'm happy to confirm that I have no reason to believe - nor have I ever believed - that Rooks and Yoonix are the same person.

Maybe the mods could merge the three of them into a new FM - Black Roonix, or something.

What I meant to say, before I got lost, found an unexpected post and got all excited about it, was that Yoonix does already know that Owen is dead because he posted in this thread.
