Hi All,

I have always wanted to learn how to do Chinese cooking & I was wondering if anybody can suggest good books for this.

I don't think there is much difference in any cook book to be honest, might be slightly different ingredients or methods; but still the same results.

I've thought about buying books like this, but on looking through them they all seem to be much of the same. I usually save my money and look online for free recipes, which you could probably find in the those same books.

Could try this site, seems really comprehensive in details of all Chinese cooking.

I have 2 chinese cookbooks and I rarely use either ('cept for a nice fried rice recipe that never goes wrong) - I go the online route as well. There's some great translated cooking blogs out there

I used to cook chinese food on a regular basis, Living in London it was easy for me to get all the ingredients, now though you dont have to venture far as lots of supermarkets stock the stuff.
I started out with Ken Homs books they are really good.

I was lucky my Step-Mum collected a set for me from BP Garages years ago before I got married - the Chinese one is my favourite, but I have only recently begun to get braver and trying things and this book has been key to my tasting! I think they were a Good Housekeeping set

Also in the titles - Italian Cooking, Slimming Cooking, Entertaining, Summer Cooking and Microwaving
