Sadly I've deleted the video recording to double check but surely the commentary said that the girls team had sold three quaarters of their stock for £440, yet somehow they ended up with £735. That means that the last 150 squids worth went for a monstrous £295. Surely not!

I didn't think the maths stacked up either.

The girls team seemed to be struggling as well for most of the task. It did seem odd that they made so much on the last quarter of the stock.

I suspect a bit of dramtic licence on the part of the BBC. It's all in the editing.

I think we are only shown what they want us to see so we do not know how the girls made that extra money ... but the maths just don't add up do they

I thought that but it could be they had added up incorrectly at the 440 stage or the 'two thirds' was an estimate and they were actually nearer 50%. I very much doubt their final figure was a lie however - the difference from the boys seemed about right when you looked at their relative performances.
