It is clear that you don't like David, Playboy, but who do you like?

I put Playboy Nolan on my ignore list as his weird obsession with David Cook is mildly irritating, and as the show goes on and the final gets nearer I think it will only get worse . Perhaps Nolan is a secretly a big Archuleta fan and doesn't like the way David C is edging in front?

quite boring night for me im not a country or dolly fan

however i loved michael really good performance also syesha and carly-i think simon doesnt like country, im sure ive heard him say that before

im getting pretty bored with david a. he gasps through all his songs and then giggles when being interviewed he obviously cant do anything other than ballads which he proved on the first week of final 12 with the beatles

of course he'll win though all the little girlies will vote for him

I really liked David A and Syesha (sp?) - not sure about the Australian guy's raspy nu metal schtick though. At least Syesha didnt totally copy Whitney which is a good thing.

I loved, loved Jason's performance. But I think only because of the song. Travelin' Thru is my favourite Dolly Parton song of all time (although I guess only because it featured in one of my favourite films of all time) and I just loved Jason for picking it. The original was, of course, better...

I thought Syesha was incredible. I cannot stand Whitney or her version, but when Syesha sang, it was just great! I think everyone is giving her a hard time.

David Archuleta was fantastic. He gave me chills.

-straight to the studio mp3s-

Just read through this thread. I'm glad I wasn't posting while the show was actually on, because every other post was about David Cook being overrated and having obsessive fans! FFS - give it a rest!!!

Surprised at David C getting the votes on here. I thought he had a poor week, despite what the judges said. Although I'd mainly put it down to a bad song choice, but I wasn't wild about his arrangement either.

Syesha and Michael gave the best performances, IMO, followed by Brooke, who gave a much better performance than she was given credit for.

My problem with him - and it's the only problem because otherwise I think he is fantastic - is that I cannot hear his lyric.

I don't expect them to sing like Julie Andrews but if you are going to sing big softie songs Eleanor Rigby or Sparrow and supposedly make all the little girls go weak at the knees, they ought to be able to hear the tender words of your ballad. His singing is pretty indecipherable.

Meanwhile all the others have excellent singing diction. I know I'm pretty old fashioned about this but shows like AI have put the technique back into singing and ask us to judge, so I'm judging!

His breathing on songs is definitely off-putting. Something quite strange about it.

The song "Coat of Many Colours" sounded similar to Kirsty Maccoll's "There's Guy Works Down The Chip Shop (Swears He's Elvis)" to me

Did you know that it's against the T&Cs to slang off forum members?

It's a banable offence.
