non dodgy international texts via PC
I'm currently paying 20p per text to a mate in Oslo and I have to text him twice a day. I've googled "cheapest texts to Norway" and some of the results look a bit dodgy. Can anyone recommend a reliable and safe operator? I'm assuming that via a computer would be the cheapest method? He only has a mobile phone, no landline. cheers.

Ask your friend what kind of mobile/data options they have - they might be able to install something like Fring, or an instant messaging program, which'd then work fine.
I believe you can send SMS via Skype; take a look at their rates

I used a company called ipipi.com not sure off the price now but it was alot cheaper than that.
It can be set up so you txt a uk number then it will send it to the person or use the form. Just checked its $15 a message. If you set up an account I'll send you a few credits then if you like it I'll send you them all. I have 263 and no longer need the service |
