Morning (ish) all!

My 32" crt has imploded so i am on the look out for a new telly.

Browsing round I came acoss this beuty at Richer Sounds;

http://www.froogle.richersounds.com/...PHIL-37PFL5322

Its a Philips 37" LCD HD ready

2 x hdmi
2 Scart (1 RGB)
S-Video
720p / 1080i
Contrast ratio 7500:1

Last few to clear £399 (£449 with 5 yr panel protect warranty)

I called up but the only one they have in East England is ex display and has small scratch on frame and 1cm scratch on bottom left of screen.

I have it reserved for viewing on thur but is it worth it and how much can I haggle for??

Thankyou all!

You're kidding? It's incredibly difficult to get a tube to implode you must have hit it with a sledgehammer.

Sorry I don't know anything about the new TV.

Well it just went 'pffffffft zapp tsss' but that sounded crap! Ha Ha!

In general though I wonder if it is a good buy just going by the specs;

720p / 1080i
7500 : 1
2 x hdmi etc...

Thanks

It's a Philips, it's ex-display so has god knows how many active hours already under its belt. (Plus .... a bit of light damage they've already told you about)

I wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole myself .....

The LG screen looks like a winner, but its the 5 year warranty that i like about the philips, from a reputable company.
