Hi There,

Looking for a new 37” LCD TV and have we’ve seen the Sony KDL-37P3020U on play for £549.00… Seems a cracking deal!

Has anybody got one or seen any independent reviews about this set? I’d like to hear any views on the quality of picture/sound and its looks and its options.

Is there anything else out there that I should be looking at? I’d be prepared to go a bit higher in terms of budget.

We’d be using it to watch BT Vision (not SKY) and play the XBOX 360.

Thanks for any help!

these 3 tellys would be my choice with

1080 P not i for x-box

24 fps for HD / BLU RAY

2 or 3 HDMI sockets

with the KDL-40w3000 looking a good deal at £697

Cheers Niall,

Will I really notice the difference between "P" & "I" playing the XBOX?

Also is the difference of 24fps also really noticeable?

Thanks for your help!

Am i missing something with these HD TV's...
This tv isn't 1920x1080 so how can it produce a 1080i image?

Now this TV is only £499 i am really tempted to buy it (Mainly to play GTA 4 on my PS3!)

Is there any other TV available at this price that can produce a better image?

HD Ready sets (like this one) scale the 1080 image down to make it fit the screen - the picture will be slightly poorer than a full 1080 set, but it's really only very slight. A good 768 pixel set will give a better HD picture than a poor 1080 one.

Parents have the 32" version of the P3020, it looks pretty good for a 1366x768 LCD.

It's worth having a look locally for these Sony TVs, Sony are offering a free 5 year warranty on them if you buy them from a retail outlet rather than over the internet, and you can often haggle the price down near to the best internet price.
