Has to be Delia's French Onion soup - do die for!

Although if i'm feeling poorly sick, it has to be Heinz's tomato

My absolute favourite is home-made chicken soup, followed by tom-yum then any vegetable soup like vichyssoise (sp?).

I must admit I once spent half a day making home-made tomato soup for a dinner party - only to find that in the end nobody could tell the difference between it and Heinz! ”

I used to have a Jewish friend when I lived in London - once I had a terrible cold/flu and she brought round a flask of her home-made chicken soup and hey presto I felt a lot better

You know, some scientist did some analysis of chicken soup - and actually found it full of stuff that promoted healing! So those old Jewish grandmothers knew something after all.

I actually find a hot soup like laksa or tom yum much better for colds - I reckon all that chiili heat making your nose stream washes out the germs!
