Of the three that were up for the chop Jenny should have gone...but of the losing team Lindi was by far the most clueless. The lights are on but nobody's home IMO!

If your reason for SAS keeping both was correct then SAS has gone way down in my estimation. You just don't fire an ok employee in order to keep two bad ones. And Jenny was the worst. Picking on a soft target in order to bif yourself up is not the way any good manager should work. She shpild have got the boot.

I love Lindi, she seems so happy and positive but this task showed her clueless side. A 24-hr laundry hotline is about as stupid as charging a hotel £5000 to do one night's laundry. Bless.

I know what you mean, but I'm sorry to say but Shazir was just a pawn. Look at it this way... he could only fire one. Therefore he had to keep either Jenny or Lucinda. If he fired Lucinda, it would look as if he agreed with Jenny, which I'm sure he didn't. If he fired Jenny it would look as if he had fallen for Lucinda's bull, which I'm sure he didn't. He dearly wanted to fire both, but he couldn't do that so it the next most important thing is that neither of them triumph. Result: Shazir goes. He made it clear she had done nothing much wrong.

This kind of thing happens all the time in chess. You could go for the oponent's bishop or the rook, but by doing so you would lose your one of your rooks. You do not wish to do this, so you settle on a strategic pawn instead.

Shazir was a pawn.

I'm glad the series was filmed some time ago - if the producers could read the posts on here tonight Jenny would be in the final for 'entertainment value'.

This just proves that The Apprentice isn't about real business at all. Anyone who is intelligent or good at organisation, but not a snide sniping backbiting b'tard, would think that it wasn't worth the hassle trying to work in a business organisation after seeing that.

Maybe SAS doesn't have the time or the inclination to understand the full detail of what went on. But in that case the series should stop pretending to be an 'x week interview' and instead admit that its all down to SAS's character preference.

Jenny was a nasty, back stabbing, lying, abusive bitch from hell. Shazia was a scapegoat for Jenny's failings as PM.

I agree. And for her part Lucinda was emotional, petulant and unnecessarily disruptive. Jenny should have been fired; Lucinda could have been justifiably fired ... but the actual decision was awful.

I heard it was Jenny's decision to make her Shazia go home on Tre's blog page.

That vile foul faced woman should of GONE! Sir Alan could you not see why?! I hope Jenny crumbles to pieces soon and gets fired!

Lindi is useless. Twice now she has charged in like a bull in a China shop and got the "selling" and "pricing" wrong. She's like Ghazal last year and no one seems to spot how useless she is. Her adoration of Jenny was disturbing to watch too.

Jenny can sell but she is an awful team leader. I'd never employ her because all my staff would walk out or someone would smack her one.

I liked Lucinda, she was being picked on so decided not to bother which I kind of understood.

Lindi's sucking up to Jenny was cringeworthy. She might as well just have said, "Oh please don't take me into the boardroom Jenny, please, please, please."

I'm still shocked that Jenny accused Shazia of lying - what lies did Shazia tell, and why didn't Sir Alan ask that himself?!

I thought Katie Hopkins was bad, but Jenny made her look like the sweetest girl on the planet.

I do think Lucinda should have gone to the 7am meeting - not going, whether or not her reasons were genuine, just made her look petulant, and gave Jenny more ammunition against her.

I bet it was an interesting drive back to the house after Shazia went!

I frankly thought that Jenni was a lousy manager - too much talking, bullying staff and having favourites (she reminded me of an unpopular senior manager where I work who thankfully was sacked after a staff mutiny). I can see she would might make quite a good salewoman though as you would end up buying stuff just to shut her up!

The project manager (in real life) must accept full accountability for what others do under their control, yes Shazia went off but Jenny didn't disagree, she was happy - then complained later. A good PM is concerned with three things and NOTHING else Time, Quality and Cost - Jenny failed on all three. Also not sure exactly what Lucinda was supposed to have done other than start folding a napkin (which yes was daft..). By that point Jenny knew they were screwed so was casting around for the tiniest thing to draw attention away from herself. Anyone who employs Jenny after seeing last night needs to take a serious look at themselves, as an employer I wouldnt touch her with someone elses!!!

If I had been in Lucinda's position, Jenny wouldn't know what had hit her. I would have embarrassed her in front of the team and in front of Sir Alan. Instead she just dried and then shied away. Lucinda is just too nice.


Katie was nowhere near as aggressive and offensive and at least she demonstrated some level of business acumen. How has this woman won an award?

Jenny was an idiot. She had no idea of pricing, she took on far more laundry (far too late in the day) than the team had the resources to cope with and then sought to cover her own failings but bullying her members and lying in the boardroom. Particularly about Shazia which was disgraceful, she came up with an efficent system. The others should have learned it.

Indeed and Sir Alan, who has already been made a fool of by two previous women (Michelle, Katie) really needs to get a grip if he lets Jenny continue in this way because she too will fool him.

Part of me thinks it's for the ratings (there seems to be this need in all reality TV shows to have a 'bitch from hell' nowadays - like Grace, Charlie, Jade from BB and Katie from last years Apprentice).

I also thought that Sir Alan completely didn't sound sincere when saying Jenny's only crime wasn't 'controlling' the team.

Jenny could have gone because of her vile behaviour (but with a warning that it would not be tolerated in future) but I would have sacked Lucinda - not attending a team meeting was just completley unforgivably unprofessional. Of course Shazir shouldn't have gone.

Jenny should have gone too IMO, but the other girl went as she didnt defend herself properly in the boardroom so maybe SAS didnt get the full picture. Also he maybe felt Jenny would be more entertaining in the long run.

She was a nightmare though, so horrible to Lucinda and for no reason. There were so many big mistakes committed that as team leader ultimately I feel she should have carried the can for it!

I actually thought Jenny was right to pull Lucinda up on her dawdling in the last few minutes of the task, but she should have conducted the discussion in private and with more manners. She rambled and repeated herself to extremes: it became more of a personal attack than anything to do with the task.

But...

IMO Lucinda dug her own grave when she didn't turn up for the morning meeting - that was a serious mistake and I'm gobsmacked she survived that. How can you sleep through 3 people trying to wake you?! And why wouldn't you set an alarm?! She didn't go to the meeting because she was in a huff, and I think that's unacceptable.

Jenny wasn't coming across brilliantly but I thought she'd survive - until she said Shazia was a liar and manipulator. Since when?? I thought Shazia was one of the most organised people on the task and if they couldn't manage without her for one hour that proves just how invaluable she was. How hard can it be to put clothes in bags??!! Duh!!!! Jenny shocked and disappointed me when she blantantly stabbed Shazia in the back and I was very surprised that whichever mentor was watching the group didn't step in at that point. I can't believe anyone could be so barefaced! I hope she doesn't last long.

Poor Shazia - a contender I thought but didn't defend herself well at all (or wasn't given the opportunity). With a good lawyer (not Nicholas then!) by her side she'd have been fine.

This is my first series of The Apprentice and I'm loving it.

I was really shocked by Sir Alan's decision last night. The problem I have with dreadful Jenny is two-fold. First of all, she totally cocked up the task from start to finish and failed to take any responsibility for that.

Secondly, her appalling lack of people skills (some may even call it bullying) is - in business terms - very risky. In a real business environment, managers who behave like that will typically have a very high turnover of staff. And a high turnover of staff costs a company a lot of money (in terms of having to re-advertise jobs, training and admin etc).

I'm surprised Sir Alan wasn't more on the ball in this sense. There's nothing wrong with being a tough boss. But when you cross the line to being a bully, Sir Alan should say "You're Fired!".
