I am in Vista and unistalled 2.4 which worked almost ok, but now i cant run 2.5.
I get an error saying it cant find MFC71.DLL
I have reinstalled, but to no avail, and if i search i can find the file in the sytsem32 folder.
can anyone help? (or have a link so i can redownload 2.4)

Found 2.4, but now cant connect to the humax.
elinker keeps saying "initialisation of receiver failed:restart receiver", but i cant get it to work!

If you have a system restore point to where Media eLinker worked, you could do a restore. The program is notoriously crap if you try to de-install, re-install or upgrade it.

You might have to edit the registry and remove all the references to the eLinker if you can find where they are, which is tricky.

Thanks. I think it maybe a driver issue. I got 2.4 working again briefly, but started getting the errors again about restarting the receiver. Uninstalled the Humax in Device Manager and ticked the option to unistall the drivers then used the driver that comes with Media Controller and used that instead. that seems to be ok.
the reason i wanted to update from 2.4 was that if i selected many files to transfer it would crap out, and thought that 2.5 might be better. (I guess it might be if i wasnt trying to update from 2.4)
