Just had a quick scan on hot deals and found the above at my new favourite site dvdcrave from australia.

https://ssl.dvdcrave.com/products/product.jsp?pid=43180

They also have more good movies and the same price

I ordered beowulf and shrek 3 for just over £13 delivered

Don't fancy it myself not even at that price and as for Shrek well I'm going to wait for the boxset on Blu-ray.

If I didn't already own BSG season1 on HD DVD I would be very interested in the UK release here at £17.99 although not the greatest HD material released.

If you mean that the supply of movies and players are drying up then yes, on the other hand there are a few hundred HD movies that are not yet on Blu-ray at prices that are very low and dirt cheap hardware.

I've bought a second player (as backup) and another 20odd movies since the prices fell to £5-£8 for sealed media, it's been a better couple of months than xmas was for the HD DVD owner who stuck it out

Not too bad for a dead format, beowulf doesnt come out in the uk till 7/4. Tell me when you find a similar deal on blu ray for a new release, thats region free I am now only really waiting for i am legend too come out at the same price and that will be me with hd dvd.

Come 3-4 years down the line i plan to burn all my hd dvd's on blu ray once the blank media becomes very cheap. I think there is software out there that does that already?

I wonder how many hd dvd players are in homes now since the player price clearance? Maybe tosh should do one of the biggest comebacks ever

There was a April Fools about Toshiba coming back and FOX switching sides

A PC Blu-ray drive with HD DVD playback is also on my hardware list, the ability to continue playing back my HD DVD movies is not an issue.

Yeah the hd dvd +++ or something like that, was quite funny. What interests me more is the thought that tosh will put a cell chip(from the ps3) into there hd tv's and it will super upscale all sd connections. It would be ideal for watching freeview, watching the footie last night and the picture was awful as usual on my big tv.
