I cancelled my BT Broadband back in August. (I went with Zen Internet). Since moving from BT, they tried charging me £6.50 per month for something connected with BT Vision (which I've never had). After 7 phone calls to customer service, being passed from pillar to post, and a few times having the phone put down on me when I was being transferred to yet another department, I finally got to speak to someone who said that he would refund the 6 months of payments BT had taken from my bank account, and make sure it was cancelled. This he duly did, but as a consequence I started getting demanding letters from BT for the money they'd refunded. It even got as far as them threatening me with a debt collection agency and possible court case. 9 phone calls later, with the same rigmarole of being passed from one person to another and duly being cut off before I got to speak to the person, I eventually get to speak to a lady who sorted it out for me. At least I hope she has. I haven't heard anything since, and its been around 4 weeks now. So, in my opinion BT Customer Service should be done under the trade descriptions act, as they are absolute cr*p.
