Oh good grief...does absolutely everything have to be politically correct these days? Talk about a Nanny State...anyway, he's wrong. Silly man.

No it doesn't. Although Lloyd and Steve spend way too much time drinking.

Pathetic really, one small pub and generally good behaviour. Okay so they have the occasional drink at dinnertime but its not like they are drunk or over the limit.

EE has two pubs/clubs and has a lot more focus on those than Corrie does the rovers. Why didn't that come in for the same criticism?

IMO the machinists drinking pints at lunchtime and going back to work in the afternoon is more dangerous. Surely no boss would allow this.
It was pointed out by the Granada spokeswoman that they made a point of Lloyd ordering an OJ, and Steve rarely drives taxis.

Steve and Lloyd though were both recently banned, Lloyd still is banned for drink driving. You hardly ever see them in their cabs.

Okay, when I read the headline first thought "Does anyone actually have a car in Corrie?" Totally forgot about the taxi rank. Both Steve and Lloyd rarely seem to be acutally working anyway, they seem to be a permenant fixture in the cab office, plonked in that manky armchair lol.

I don't think Corrie can be accused of endorsing drink driving at all.... Now if they had characters getting drunk and then saying "right i'm going to drive home" that would be a different matter.... but they don't

What next drinking is banned from all our soaps?

What about the ones who come to work by car every day?Audrey, Carla , Bill, Tony, to name a few, They are always drinking in the pub after work, so how do they get home? Also, at night Carla and Tony stroll into the pub as if they just lived round the corner, when actually they live in a different part of town, so do they drink and drive

Nonsensical.

Some people need to learn how to separate fact from fiction.

I didn't recall EE being in the story, so dunno why you brought it up (again) but maybe because everything else it gets blamed for? Also they have had loads of complaints recently so no EE dosen't get off the hook easily.
