Really looking forward to this task

Must give the producers an A+ for coming up with same.

It`s been the only way to get Cameron to voice an opinion.

Jon is going to be in his element and will take this advantage to
challenge Cam

well lets ****ing hope so

What is ti they have to do? Choose, or give, answers to the questions that they think the other housemates would have given, was it?

As this is live, it should be fun! Also, when Cameron's views are clearly known, after the event, there may be a bit of a ruckus because they'll be allowed to talk about the questions then!

Any idea how it's going to work today? When I first thought about it, I concluded that the task did have great potential, but the BB producers had fluffed it and actually wrecked an opportunity to light up the HMs.

However, I didn't expect them to show the DR footage during the week. It's given people something to talk about outside the house. But nothing within the house.

What were Cameron and Steph talking about this morning - oh yes - the sort of cooker Cameron has in his kitchen (gas hob and electric oven).

For the test itself I can imagine this happening:

- HMs please gather on the sofas
- could Cameron please come to the DR
- Cameron which HMs are in favour of the reintroduction of capital punishment? Etc. probably three questions.
- Cameron: Er, Jon, Steph and Ray. Oh yes, and me of course.
- (next HM until all used up)
- thank you for completing the task. BB will get back to you with the result of today's task later in the week
- (bit of a lull for a minute or two)
- Cameron to Steph: Do you have a microwave? Oh yes, they're very handy for heating up leftovers.

And we won't see any of that until the Thursday night highlights programme.

Would have been better if they had made them discuss the seperate topics in a group. Anyone who chooses not to express an opinion in front of the group loses

Either that or do it debate style.

Oh, and give em plenty of booze beforehand (cept for steph )

That was brilliant!

I'm wondering how the questions will be phrased - i.e. 'How does Cameron view the death penalty?
a) against it
b) for it
c) we're unsure of his position as he waffled on interminably without actually giving an opinion AGAIN!

if this is plasma screened, it will be v. entertaining to see Cameron jumping up and down when Ray thinks Cameron is tolerant of gays 'och noooo, man alive, I'm homophobic you twit'

what will be fun is

och i do not believe in sex before marriage

I think that's actually the Big Brother 4 mantra this year - no one could be bothered selecting good house mates, no one could be bothered setting up an interesting house or developing a 'theme' for this year.

I get the feeling that the exec producers were asked about the theme on the first night and someone quickly decided they'd call it 'Back to basics' when it was no such thing. Any resemblance to the 'basic' BB (i.e. BB1) is purely coincidental.

Even the tasks only seem to have been thought of on the Thursday afternoon down the pub - Pass the parcel, tug of war - jeez!

Here's hoping that the people in charge of Fame Academy have seen what worked and what didn't and made a concerted effort to develop the programme - oh, shit, that's Endemol too isn't it? Bugger!

I've been thinking about this, and wonder whether the 'back to basics' was their motto for the housemates, not the show and, as you say, someone said it out in reponse to the theme question.

Back to Basics housemates - meaning no wannabes or loud characters that previous years have had - suits this lot. Basic, boring and 'no frills' people!

No wannabes or loud characters? What about Anouska, Justine, and Sissy, to name but a few?

definitley, however this had to be one of the final tasks, because you have to make a judgement on peoples views, from what you know about them, since they've been living together for 9 weeks, they will get a good idea about the person, and maybe what they're views to a subject maybe, they couldn't have such task at the beginning. Also its a good task to help the public decide who to vote for. And it might cause some arguements.

By 'wannabes' I meant the housemates that had agents and/or had been on the TV before and spent their time singing and dancing for the cameras - Johny, PJ, Alison... I've only heard that Tania had an agent out of this years crop.

As for loud, Anouska, Justine, and Sissy may have shouted a lot but they don't have a personality between them! I was thinking more of the Caggy and Nichola type!

Not yet. The hms are just sitting around discussing the Big brother experience  and playing the "Am I...?" game   and waiting for the task to start sometime this afternoon.

Cameron saw a bit of the stage being built outside for Friday night. He remarked how "everyone in the UK knows what is going on except us and is hyped up aboot it..."

Well, the later they leave it, the less chance it has of affecting the voting.
