Why do the big brother contestants keep saying "This meeting is now adjourned."

"This ends the meeting", surely?!!

Hehe.

Not good english really!

Definition of Adjourned:

1. transitive and intransitive verb suspend proceedings: to suspend the business of a court, legislature, or committee temporarily or indefinitely, or become suspended temporarily or indefinitely
The court adjourned at one o'clock.

Yeh, I've never really understood that, because it doesn't make sense.

Surely if you adjurn a meeting, it is with the expectation of resuming the meeting at some point?

I know this is really anal of me but the 'more or less' quiz really bugged me. More or fewer?

I agree, only at the last veto should they have to change it.
