"ADJOURNING" veto meetings"?!!!!
Why do the big brother contestants keep saying "This meeting is now adjourned."
"This ends the meeting", surely?!! |

Not good english really! Definition of Adjourned: 1. transitive and intransitive verb suspend proceedings: to suspend the business of a court, legislature, or committee temporarily or indefinitely, or become suspended temporarily or indefinitely The court adjourned at one o'clock. |

Yeh, I've never really understood that, because it doesn't make sense.
Surely if you adjurn a meeting, it is with the expectation of resuming the meeting at some point? |
