are sprouts steamable?

we've just bought an electric steamer and i was just wondering if anyone knows whether you can do sprouts in them or not and if so how long for?

Yep they are perfectly fine done in the steamer, they take around 10 mins.

i bought one a few weeks ago vegetables taste better steaming them than they do by boiling them

I don't have an electric steamer, just the ordinary saucepan with two steamer attachments. Steamed all kinds of veg for years.

Steamed veg certainly is the best way Is there any veg that doesn't steam?

Edit: apart from a tomato, wouldn't fancy that.

Yes, they will steam.

But they will taste a lot better, fried with panchetta, butter, nutmeg and chestnuts.

This depends on how you like your sprouts.

If you think their not cooked if you can still count 'em then steamings not for you.

but other than that steaming's fine.
