As much as I hate CaMORON I wish you would find an alternative comparator. I am sick of every minority group whether it is Gays, fox-hunting groups, short people, fat people etc all using black people to make their point. I am tired of hearing 'why is it not okay to say x,y,z about black people but okay to discriminate against gays/obese/short people/foxhunters' etc. Leave ethnic groups out of your arguments please. After all it is not as if all black people are in support of gays/obese/fox-hunters etc. Why lump us together with every socially misfit group going?

if so then ONLY because of prejudice by others. I think the black analogy is a good one myself. racial intolerance is disgusting imo, so is any other form of intolerance. why should I reserve my dislike for one and call the rest 'social misfits'!!.

Like I said I dislike CaMORON, disagreed with his comments and do not want him to win. However my point was that any other example could have been used but no it had to be black people as always. Every time some group decides they are not being treated fairly they decide to use black people to get their point across. This makes me angry because it's like saying that black people are in the same position as every other group and this is wrong. Whether or not one accepts homosexuality, obesity, short people etc is irrelevant. The fact is that to make your argument for one group you do not need to compare them with black people as though that strengthens the argument. It does not because the very people you are talking about might not have the same views about homosexuality/fox-hunters etc.

You are all missing the point!!!!!!!! Cameron quoted the Bible and it does say that in the Bible - it doesn't say anything about blacks and whites!!!! thats why he said it as he follows the Bible rules. Replacing it with other words does not make sense.

Aside of this matter I have absolutely no problems with gays and I am a Christian. However I firmly believe that God is a God of love and of peace no matter what sex/race/height(!) you are.

You misunderstand what I mean by socially misfit. I am saying that obese people/gays/fox-hunters/short people are not readily accepted in society due to prejudice and often feel that they do not fit into society and are treated differently because of the way they look or their lifestyle or sexually etc. What is your definition of a social misfit? Maybe you should look it up in a dictionary.

I don't suppose all women supported the causes of every person whose rights were affected by racism, but the causes have been repeatedly equated.
This is an issue about tolerance and human rights. I agree with you that there are black bigots around, just as there are white ones, gay ones and female ones. This is no reason to stop using clear examples to highlight where people are going wrong in their way of thinking.
