I bought a multi-pack of little cereals because I fancied some sugary cereal and I had the cocoa pops this morning. I swear they don't taste like they used to. They were gritty, chemically, definitely not as chocolatey and not all like I remember. Anyone else thing the same? Any other cereals that don't taste like they used to?

Or maybe I'm just getting old.

Quite a lot of food products don't taste the same anymore, everything is now half fat, half sugar, low salt, no salt etc etc...... I guess it is a good thing as they are now healthier for us but there is noticeable taste differences in some things.

Me too.... 'best ever', 'new recipe', 'new improved' ... if it ain't broke don't fix it

I think the whole food industry has gone mad with healthy options stuff, I'm neither stick thin or overweight and I eat what I fancy, as they say 'a little bit of what you fancy does you good'

You either grasp the concept of being educated about food or you don't ... simple

Don't forget your taste buds change over years, so things will taste different.
