Second thread of the night, but this one is mine!!!

I was watching the girls tonight and having been educated in the musicals by my other half, I know a few of them now.
And some of the girls on the show are clearly brilliant but not Nancy's.
The one I thought of tonight which gave me the inspiration for this thread was Naimh (sp?)
She is fantastic, but not Nancy to me.
But shove her in 'Les miserables' as Eponine and I think she would be perfect. She is Eponine.
So far to me, Jodie is Nancy, but others are great and could be other musical parts.

Any suggestions for other roles for the girls?

I think Jodie would be good as Madame Thenadier in Les Mis, or Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd.

As I said in the Sarah topic, and as a couple of people have said here - she's an obvious Glinda, if she can pull of the more soprano stuff.

I agree Niamh could be Eponine, but Nancy Nancy just got that, so she'll be waiting a while for that.

Francesca would make a good Audrey in little shop of horrors.

I definately concur with Tara. She's very nazel. I suppose she could be Lina in Singing in The Rain, you need to sound awful for that.

Sarah is DEFINATELY Glinda.

Jodie, to me, is actually Nancy, but YES Mrs Lovett! Why did I not see that before?!

Could Ashley do Magenta in Rocky Horror? Maybe.

Both Nancy and Mrs Lovett are strong fiesty London characters, it doesn't take that much of a stretch to see the same person playing both.

I don't think Sarah could sing Glinda yet based on what I've heard so far. It has a huge range and needs a great belt as well as the high operatic soprano range. But then it's so hard to tell based on constant pop songs.

I think a lot of the girls just aren't cut out for traditional musical theatre roles. Niamh and Cleo in particular are good pop singers, Keisha should be doing jazz/soul and Tara should be rethinking her career choices as she is truly terrible.

Francesca was great last night but I think she's more suited to shows like Rent and We Will Rock You - I saw her playing Joanne in Rent and think she'd step up to the bigger role of Maureen well.

It's a shame we are not trying to cast Les Mis as I think Jessie would be a lovely Eponine, Sarah a Cosette, Jodie as Madame Thenardier.

Jodie and Ashley are the only two who I can remotely see playing Nancy at the moment.

Hmm, I don't think any of the Nancys are good enough to star in Les Mis to be honest... but maybe I'm just biased towards my favourite musical.

I can see Sarah as Glinda in Wicked - I'm not sure of her vocal range yet, but the blondeness, fluffiness and niceness are all very Glinda-esque. I can also see Jessie, and perhaps Niamh in Chicago too. Jodie would suit Mrs Lovett, definitely, and would suit Mme Thenadier character-wise too.

Isn't it strange how we're all likening Sarah to Kerry Ellis vocally, yet saying she'd be a good Glinda, haha!!
