Chester is my favourite.

I'm starting to feel really sorry for the boys that aren't going to get into the semi-final. I think out of the boys left, the only one that doesn't have much of a chance is Joseph; I feel bad saying it but he just doesn't seem to have much of a clue what he's doing most of the time. I really, really want Jonny through next! I know I've posted this about ten times already but he's been my firm favourite since 'Electricity'. I also love Harry, fantastic actor and he has such a charm. I'd probably say I want Gareth through after those two, but I'm not really bothered if it's Gareth, Laurence or Sam (I think he's adorable, but then I think he may look too much like Gwion to get through?) I'm not much a fan of Jordan at all but I think he has a good chance too.

Ideally I'd like Chester, Jonny and Harry for Oliver, though I have a feeling Gwion is going to be one of them.

My favourite is Chester, he shines in every performance and is different from Mark Leister (sp?) yet not so different that he would turn audiences cold.

They are all really good so credit to them for that. Its so hard choosing the 8 to get through. I think Joseph and Sam won't get through because they are never mentioned. I think Gareth, Jonny and Jordan will get through but I like Laurence. As for the final 3, it could be any of them but I reckon Chester and Alexander will be there. I'm not sure about the other one though.

Will the other ones get parts in Fagin's gang maybe?

Yes, I agree - Joseph is probably the weakest out of the ones remaining. I think Sam is too similar to Gwion in terms of looks - I couldn't tell them apart at first - and I think Laurence is quite similar to Alexander in terms of voice quality. I don't think that should necessarily deter CM from them but maybe they want as diverse a bunch as possible.... as for Jonny, every time I see him I just think of Billy Elliot. I think he may already look/be too old for Oliver. I really like Gareth and hope he goes through.

Chester definitely is something special though. He's just so distinct from the rest and he always seems as though he doesn't know how good he really is.

I'm not sure if their getting to be part of Fagin's gang would be a great idea. I wouldn't want to watch someone else playing the role I wanted for 3 days a week! I think some of the good ones may get parts in other musicals, though. Hopefully anyway!

Gareth seems to have appeared in more people's radars lately. I'm pleased for him, as he lives near me. It would be lovely for him to get selected, but I think it's maybe not going to happen. I'm sure Harry will get through.

This is Camilla posting on Danielle (lovin-lewis)'s account since I can't join! My posts have been posted by other people before now!

Jonny is still my firm favourite for Oliver, he has been since 'Electricity', and I actually really thought he'd get through this week. Shame he didn't since Alex got through but good for Alex for being selected.
I was incredibly pleased that Jonny got a mention from CM as it looks like he's been giving it his all lately. I think he could finally get through to the SF next week, good luck to him!

I'd also like Harry to be put through as he's a great little actor with past experience although he'd probably be suited a little more to Dodger. (Don't know if it's just me that thinks this) Also I'd like Gareth to be selected; he tends to give each task everything he has and is very enthusiastic which is great!

I like Jonny, something about him which is very watchable.

Every week I like Gwion more and more. He seems to be improving as an actor, and his accent is becomming less noticable (not that I mind it. I loooove the Welsh accent )

I think they should just cast Kwyedza as Dodger. His voice sounds near to breaking, and he'd be amazing at it.

I don't trust Harry's eyebrows....they're too bushy! haha, never trust a person with dodgy eyebrows

Also, has his voice broken? It seems quite deep. I lobe Gwion too, he's adorable!

Didn't like Can You Feel the Love Tonight at all. Alex wasn't his best there really. The arrangement was a bit crap and it's quite a difficult song to sing. I wish they'd given him a better song like "Bright Eyes".

Totally agree. He seemed nervous to me, and if he's nervous now, what will he be like if he gets Oliver? It was a rubbish song, a lot of them were very out of tune. Hopefully we'll get something better next week!

Yeah, he looked like a bag of nerves. Apparently (according to a friend who was there) they had to re-shoot the Olivers bit so maybe that threw him off? Either way, the song arrangement was too fast so that he didn't sing the ending of the lines properly or with care as usual which was a shame. I can still hear the great quality in his voice, but nerves let him down.

Having said that the rest of the Olivers were also quite out of tune this week, both in "It's a Hard Knock Life" and in the one tonight... not the best week for either the Nancys or the Olivers.

I agree not a great week allround It's a hard Knock Life had great choreography but the only ones who sang their solo at all decently were Laurence and Chester, the rest were either out of tune or singing complete gobbledegook.

Hmm I had wanted Alexander to get through but based on tonight's performance I don't think he'd handle being in the West End. Out of tune due to nerves...

My favourite so far is Chester, and I like Kwayedza. Out of the ones left I want Harry, Gareth and Jonny to get through

The blonde boy already through reminds me of Kurt Nilsen, complete with cute gap in his teeth (World Idol winner a few years ago)... seen here: http://www.bebo.com/FlashBox.jsp?FlashBoxId=5036853668&

The other blonde boy reminds me of Tom Fletcher when he was first in McFly with straight blonde hair!

LOL at both - spot on Sam is a cross between Tom Fletcher and Anne Widdicombe lol.

I like Gwion because he's cute but I do think Chester seems perfect for the part and he seems a bit older than some of them, so is probably able to cope well.

I think Harry, Alexander, Joseph, and Jonny seem like posh public school boys and not Olivers!

I'm really really bad at remembering their names. But I have 3 I like and they're already in the semi finals.

Actually think that of the 5 through so far the only one who's any good is Kwayedza and he's probably too old for the part.

Laurence, Jordan and Gareth would probably be my three picks for Oliver and Kwayedza as Dodger is inspired!
