Hurrah!

Harry was one of my early favourites and I'm pleased that he's through to the next stage.

I still like Lawrence and Jonny has grown on me over the weeks so I hope they get through as well but tbh they're all pretty cute!

I'm glad Harry got through! The first Oliver i've actually liked and who is suitable for the role (because Kway is great but his voice is too deep) since Chester got through.

Hard to say who the final two, I think it maybe Jordon and Laurence just because they've been mentioned in the VT's couple of times now, JB said tonight those two and Harry are the most confident on stage and I tend to agree with that (along with Kwayedza)... although Jordon is perhaps a bit too confident for Oliver.

I'm really pleased that Harry got through. I've always known he would as he's one of the best actors.

I am so pleased we got to see more of the Olivers this week and a change of costume for them, all they ever wore were those Oliver outfits every week.

I was half expecting them to sing Getcha head inb the game but was glad they did Breaking Free. I think they did the best they could with it.

I am more exited to know what tommorow's song is and whether Harry will take lead vocals cos if there's a Nancy involved she might take over.

I want Gareth and maybe Jordan as the final 2.

Two.
I'm really, really hoping for Jonny but I don't think he'll get it now. However I am happy Harry went through tonight as, along with Jonny and Chester, he is my favourite.

YAY! Harry is through! I'm really pleased; he's my third favourite and I think he's brilliant. He is really confident and also seem the most boyish & naturally urchin-esque out of all of them. Loved his reaction! I'm really looking forward to his solo tomorrow, although I really hope that Rachel won't take over the song - I want to hear Harry! Their democratic voting thing at the end was very sweet.

HSM was.... HSM. I thought Breaking Free was ridiculously camp but it was a nice change. Some of them seemed more sporty than others, though. I thought Jordan was good today. I was also pleasantly surprised with Jonny tonight; he had a lot more expression than usual and he looked happier to be there. Looking at the end VT, I think his 'zombie-ness' may just be that he's shy than bored? When the camera's not directly on him he seems much happier.

... but now there's two spots left now that my three faves are through, I don't really mind anymore - but I think I'll still root for Jonny and Gareth. But I also want Laurence through too....

I bet they've picked Sam - all those prepubescent hormones stirring

I'd like Jordan, Lawrence and Jonny to go through next

Oh right! I'm thinking they'll pick Sam, she seems to be a favourite amongst the boys.

I'm so glad Harry got through today. Just hoping that Gareth gets through next....and then either Jonny or Sam, although I'm not sure that they will.
I think Laurence and Jordan will probably go through as they keep being mentioned, although Jordan is my least favourite for Oliver.

I feel so sorry for the four boys now that won't get through. I think Joseph and Sam are probably two of those, but I really think the last two places could go to either Jordan, Jonny, Laurence or Gareth. Am hoping it's Jonny and Gareth, but I think Jordan'll be one of them.

They looked so sweet tonight, bless them, it was nice to see them in outfits different from the Oliver costumes. I thought it was pretty cheesy but that's probably the only word to describe High School Musical! The vocal was pretty good when they were singing in a group, however I didn't think the solo parts were too good because they were too fast. Still one of my favourite Oliver performances though, they all looked happy. Also, Jonny didn't look so 'blank' this week.

Last night's performance was adorable I think. Why do they always merge Chester and Gwion's solos together? I swear last week they sang at the same time, and again this one!

Kwayedza and Harry sang together too. I think it was because theirs was a longer phrase, so it wasn't fair to give that part to just one boy so they gave it to two, and maybe there weren't enough parts. They sang together the week before last but last week they had solos.

It's going to be quite horrible watching the last 5 vying for the final spot the week after next. I'm not sure if this format was the best for them, really....

I'm sure they will have prepared the last four boys well enough so it won't be too hard on them when they are not picked. It seems a bit cruel if they don't. At least they will know that they have done very well to make the last twelve, and its a brilliant experience to have been part of at that age.

I would hope that all of the boys are offered places in the ensemble - they have proved themselves capable

All of the boys atleast get some role in Oliver, they've invested far too much time and money in them not to. Also, they'd probably prefer it if the boys didn't race off and instantly get roles as the kids in other productions!

I think the younger ones (Arthur, Joseph, Sam) who are about 10/11 have a LOT better future out of this, as they could seriously be in Oliver for a long time...basically being nurtured for playing Oliver. There was an article in The Stage (with Harry!) basically saying there's a shortage of male singers/dancers - so for Macintosh to have 12 here, he's hit the motherload.

EDIT: And we don't know who the favourites are, it'd be impossible to say. I'd say about four/five of them through so far would be great Olivers.

Kwayedza won't make it through to opening night - his voice is already almost baritonal. Another 6 months and the break will have completely happened.

Which is a shame for the guy - but I suspect that with a voice like his, he will get a break in time

Camilla posting -

Jonny's my favourite, which I've probably said time and time again. He really stood out last night and I'm extremely gutted that he's still not through!

If he doesn't get a space in the final 2 slots then I'm going to cry.
