I think the younger ones (Arthur, Joseph, Sam) who are about 10/11 have a LOT better future out of this, as they could seriously be in Oliver for a long time...basically being nurtured for playing Oliver. There was an article in The Stage (with Harry!) basically saying there's a shortage of male singers/dancers - so for Macintosh to have 12 here, he's hit the motherload.
EDIT: And we don't know who the favourites are, it'd be impossible to say. I'd say about four/five of them through so far would be great Olivers.”

The winning Olivers will probably only do a 6-month or so stint, which (I think) is the usual for child actors. So I have a feeling that CM will keep the other boys on 'standby', so to speak, so that he can get a quick replacement when one of the chosen Olivers' voices break, or if their contract is up. Either way, I'm pretty sure all the potential 12 will get some role or other in the West End - and I agree that the younger ones would get a far longer run out of all this. Kwayedza's definitely, and probably Jordan's, or Jonny's (the older & taller ones), are close to breaking and who knows what kind of voice would emerge at the end?

Vocals weren't perfect admittedly but his acting more than made up for it. He also has a beautifully clear voice when he's singing higher; pity we couldn't hear more!
Bless 'em!
