Gwion, Kwayedza, Chester and... the tall one with black hair? I think he was in a science class when they told him. Jordan? I think.

Kwayedza has the best voice hands down. Gwion's Welsh accent might get in the way, but I reckon he's one of the better actors of the bunch.

The rest are also amazing! It's going to be a VERY hard decision.

I don't really know many of their names yet, but I think Kwayedza easily has the best voice. However it's so smooth (can't think of a better word ) I don't know if it's the right kind of voice for a cheeky, cockney Oliver. Also love Chester and I think Gwion is lovely, but again I don't think his voice fits the part.
Oliver isn't cockney, he travels to London from somewhere around the Midlands/North, only Fagin, Dodger, Nancy, Bill and the gang are cockney.

I like Sam and Jordan, sam has that cheeky vulnerability of Mark Lester. I think the one with the most gorgeous voice though is Kwayedza.

Chester goes to my school so I kind of have to favourise him but... I just watched Requiem and I actually have tears in my eyes, I never knew he could sing that well!

I'm thinking Chester's definately an Oliver after that performance. & I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Gwion. He's friggin' adorable!

My favourite is Jordan who always stands out on screen imo. He looks more like the street kid ALW was talking about too rather than the angelic sweet choir boy.

Not keen on Gwion but thats more my irrational dislike of the accent than thinking hes not very good

I also like Chester and Lawrence. Actually i thought all the boys were brilliant last night singing electricity.

I think Alexander is sweet.

Gwion is cute but has a very strong accent which I can hear WAY TOO MUCH (and believe you me this is saying something). I can hear Gareth's accent too when he sings.

Not convinced that accents are a problem but I am distracted by them. Love the black boy and I hope he gets picked to go further, he has a great voice. Not keen on Sam - perhaps it is just his hair that annoys me for some superficial reason but the others are just melting into one for me at the moment.

I though Jonny was brilliant in Electricity.

Also like Lawrence and Gwion.

There are several of the boys whose names I can't even remember. I think that's a sign of not being Oliver...

Chester was very very sweet today when he was talking about the Nancys I just wanted to eat him up lol! And I've just found out he comes from near my area.

Kwayedza has the best voice, I hope he gets chosen.

I like Jonny too. Can't quite warm to Jordan, though.

As someone said in an earlire post, Sam does look like Anne Widdecombe's lovechild.

Surely he's Boris Johnson's lovechild - or could he be both!

I think Kwayedza is fantastic, so hopefully he'll make it through to the semi-finals...

ALW keeps mentioning the fact that Oliver has walked all the way from london ot the Midlands....surely that would give him a Midlands accent rather than a cockney one ?

Kwayedza is my favourite - not just because he has a great voice, but because when they were all told they were through, he was the only on who didn't seem to be at a posh school or doing an expensive hobby. His & his familly's reaction to the news seemed normal.

Plus he is a lovely looking boy & can sing extemely well

You know, I agree with you but I can't help wondering why you, me and countless others are bothered by the fact that some of the Olivers seem to come from very privileged backgrounds. It does irk me I suppose but I'm not sure why, perhaps it is me who has the chip on my shoulder about being working class and from the north. I suppose it just reinforces my idea of the stereotype "theatreland" kid who gets all the breaks and I would so love someone from a lowly background to just blow ALW away with his talent and break through the mold...

I'm just interested to explore this further as it is a theme that occurs again and again in other Oliver threads. What is it that we don't like about them being "seemingly" posh/privileged etc ?

I think that one of the reasons that it annoys me is that ALW specifically said he was not looking for a nice well behaved little boy, but someone with a bit of street kid about him. But as is his way, he says one thing and does another.

Once it was pointed out that he looks just like Anne Widdecombe, it's now impossible for me to see him any other way! Bless.

Whats wrong with going to a 'posh' school? Anyway, Chester was on a trampoline when he was told, with 3 other kids - not an expensive hobby! AND he goes to state school!

Sorry but that really made me (in a good way).

Personally I think Jordan should go through next. He always stands out in group songs and seems to really be enjoying the whole experience.

I was glad Gwion went through - loved that 'Bright Eyes' performance.

They're a very talented bunch really.

I agree, it was really nice. By contrast, they seemed to really struggle with Pie Jesu, though, to be fair, it's a much harder song to sing. I'd like to see them sing Danny Boy next.

Harry or Jonny to go through next
