Positively my last evil comment:

My least favourite Oliver got through: his shoulder-hunching makes Jessie look relaxed and his teeth are by Post-It...

Aw I thought it was cute. A bit of an odd look though. I've got to say though, apart from that outfit, I think he's got pretty good fashion sense. Harry and Chester too

how do you screencap something on youtube

Think you can pause, hit [shift] and [Prt Scr] together, jump across into another program (like Word or an art package) and do a Ctrl/V to paste.

Oh definitely - I partly noticed Jonny in the first auditions because I liked what he was wearing lol (navy vest?). And Chester knows how to wear a hat well. Arthur's got a pretty eclectic fashion sense too

Oooh, guys - remember the spoiler I posted from Whatsonstage, about the 5 non-Oliver finalists crying in the foyer of the theatre etc? The poster who gave the spoiler had replied (in response to the question about whether there were any parents around):

Quote:
“In refernce to the question, There parents were there yes and they did all comfort each other jonny and alexander were hugging, and arthur was hugging his mum and general stuff like that. It was very heartbreaking watching 5 kids crying some of them sobbing and hysterical. They all looked defeated. Chester was tearful but not crying but he looked like he was giving everything to stop himself from crying. I felt very uncomfortable, but my need to know who had got the part beat my awww poor children thoughts. I felt like going up to them and syaing dont worry you were really good youll get something else out of this. Yer sort of it really.”

The parents were there, thank goodness. But I can just imagine Chester trying so hard not to cry and that makes me feel awful - that's how he looked like in Tomorrow & No Matter What as well.

I thought Alex always looked pretty well turned out in his shirts and blazers, although whether that was down to him or his mother I'm not sure!

I liked all their little fashion quirks, like Chester's hats and pink T-shirt, Alex's Vans, Arthur's Ugg Boots () and pink skinnies, the way Jonny turned the collars of his shirts up!

I think skinny jeans/trousers and converses were definately the staple items of clothing in the Oliver house though! And long-ish hair to complete the look!

God that sounds pretty awful. Poor kids...although at least their parents were there and they weren't by themselves.

Aww Chester He wanted it so badly...

Bless Alex and Jonny though, hugging each other. I think those two formed a real bond.

Sounds like they were all in tears...the way he uses the word hysterical to describe it just breaks my heart.

Oh definitely. I noticed Alex immediately as well before the live show, firstly because of his really good "Where is Love" and because he just looked too pretty to be a boy in his audition. (I think it's just the camera angle though that makes him look like he's got really rosy cheeks. In the next clip he looks really different.) Incidentally, I love "Tears in Heaven", his audition song - I really wanted to hear him sing the rest! Wouldn't it be great if the BBC put up the boys' auditions as well, like they do with the Nancys?

And I think longish hair is stereotypically popular amongst posh boys - they always seem to have longer-than-average hair! (which is fine by me - I love that floppy public-school look. )

I suppose we should take what the poster saids with a pinch of salt because it was just one viewpoint, but I agree, it's quite heartbreaking. Considering how disappointed they must have been I think they composed themselves quite well in the live show (well, kind of. In No Matter What everyone just looked crushed).

I seem to be alternating between a happy and sad mood here, lol.

This is awful. I hate the way the word hysterical has been used, just makes me feel terrible for them! Poor boys.

On a happier note, I'm excited about seeing them all together back tomorrow - does anyone know if the 12 of them are getting a group performance?

I'd love it if they did that! I agree about Alex, he looks so different in the early videos!

On a side note I love Chester in that video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xD4QZEXXCZ4) "I think I'd make a good Oliver because I love to sing and dance and I make up shows when I'm bored."
Chester came up with some great one liners actually now I think about it!

He does actually, his audition song was great.

When he's reading the scroll with his music teacher,is it me or does he sound like he has a slight stutter?

It makes me feel SO much better to know their parents were there!!!
However, the visual of all of it is still heartbreaking.
Hopefully they'll all move on to better and bigger things soon, because besides the fact that I think they all more than deserve a big break, I also feel like it's probably the only way they will get over all of this.
Plus, I also think that's what we need to get over all of this

The three winning boys will be doing the duets so I'm guessing there might be a song with the other 9 boys. Someone said earlier that Lee Mead is going to be performing with the boys, so maybe that'll be their group performance. (Hope not - I want them to have their own song and not be overshadowed by Lee!)

lol I thought that too, but I think it was just that the excitement was overwhelming - he seems to be one of the most articulate 11-year-olds I've seen otherwise.

Oh, you're going to get me started!

"As you can see, this spotted handkerchief is... spotted." - Laurence (has to be a classic.)

"I'm doing it for all of Wales." - Gwion

"No. I'm an orphan. I've come to London to seek my for-chun!" - Gwion (in the Welsh accent!)

"I've got a wedgie! A big one!" - Gwion

"not your usual Wednesday morning." - Jonny

"Samantha eats a lot of chocolate." - Kwayedza

"Cast your votes wisely, because remember, your Nancy needs you." - Harry, choosing a Nancy

"It's like the River Thames!" - Alex at the gruel

"I was told off for saying thank you." - Jonny

"Whoa, this is hard...!" - Laurence, choosing the Nancy

"I like working with the Nancys because they're hot!" - Gareth

"I'm going to tell all my children and grandchildren and great-grand children about it." - Gareth

"I cross my fingers every night." - Chester

Ha ha, Ashrell, somehow I just knew you'd be the first to jump on this bandwagon
Love those quotes! Those are the ones that came to my mind as well. I can't really think of any others of the top of my head right now, except Arthur's "Not what I'd wear everyday though..." And of course the skinny jeans remark still cracks me up!
I think I'll come up with lots more when I really take some time to think about it! Get back to you later!

Good evening Chaperone.

it's been a busy day on here for you to catch up on!

Quotes.....

I think Ashrell has covered most of them, the other that springs to mind.

Gareth - I might get a bit of stick for this...but ah well.
Arthur - some of my favourite clothes are skinny jeans
Laurence - I think I could make a reasonable.... or hopefully good Oliver

Also my favourite quote has to be:
It's like the River Thames!" - Alex

Just cracks me up

Does anyone know if we will get to know what dates the Olivers are appearing on? I would only want to see Gwion and have not booked tickets yet.
