Watched 'Never Forget' again. Huge lols at Sam and the awesome that is Joseph rocking up like hard men . Too little Chester in the performance though, and Jonny's shirt really gets to me. it looks like he is wearing Princess Diana's wedding dress under his waistcoat. ”

DNY, this comment from you did make me laugh! Bless Sam and Joseph, they looked very amusing but I bet at the time they didn't really care and just really went for it!

I thought Jonny's shirt did look a little puffy, but only on the sleeves. But then again so did everyone else's! I also thought he looked very smart.

I'm so happy because I have just managed to download videos of every performance the olivers ever did onto my ipod. Now I will never be bored on the train .

And yes, the Nancies really do like that strangle-hold position. Maybe would have been more relevant if they were competing for the role of Bill Sykes?

May I ask how you got them on your iPod?

And LOL at the bold.

I think they will get the same feeling when they see the videos of Reach and Breaking Free.

Well, it was quite a long and complicated process. First I got a youtube downloader, which means you can download videos off youtube straight to your computer. Then I downloaded a converter, which can convert these to go to your ipod.

Urm, a youtube downloader can be found here- http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/

and I used this to convert them (not sure whether this works for pc, but I'm sure if you look around there are plenty) - http://www.isquint.org/

Thank you! It sounds very complicated and I probably won't be able to do it, but thank you again!

If you want to download videos of all the Oliver performances, the user shadowchaser on this site has uploaded them. You'd have to shift through the pages first, and if you want them on your ipod you'd have to convert them to .mp4 files too.

Reach especially. Jordan will look back and be like 'What on earth was I doing?'.

I also think Harry is the least "sweet" of all the Olivers - it's not meant in a bad way, but Harry just strikes me as a young adult and a young man more than a child actor, so he's less likely to evoke an "awwww" feeling than the other two.”

You know what, looking back, I actually think Harry looks much more like a child without his Oliver hat on! When he was doing "Where is love" in the Ave Q theatre he had the vulnerable orphan look down! However, on the show, after he was selected, he looks much more mature. I blame the hat!

He's got a mature looking face. I think the eyebrows are also partly to blame, but I love them

I was just thinking, there's a pretty strong chance that all the Olivers will turn up on Casualty at some point. I just say that because anybody who's ever been on the BBC has at some point been on Casualty. I really hope so!

Before I got way too obsessed with the Olivers and didn't know their names, I used to identify Harry as 'the one with the bushy eyebrows'

That's interesting indeed! And quite accurate, I think! I can see where you get your over-analysis gene from, Ashrell!

I still feel sad seeing Chester without a hat. It just looks wrong! He's definately a hat person (ie, someone that suits hats)...

I was thinking the other day (I think it was in response to a post on here about the boys' teeth actually - the things we talk about! lol) what would happen if one of the boys had braces (as in fixed ones like train tracks?) Would he not be chosen purely because of that or would he have to have them taken off or disguised or something, because obviously you can't have an urchin with braces!?

Sorry about the off-topicness - I'm just curious!

P.s - I used to identify Harry by his "singing out the side of his mouth" thing!

This is what it says on the Oliver musical website for the open auditons-

Fagin’s Gang and Workhouse Boys
(Playing age 8-14)

All boys should have strong singing, dancing and acting skills. All boys must be under 5 foot tall and voices must be unbroken. No fixed braces. Only boys will be auditioned for these roles. Boys from anywhere in the UK are welcome to attend.

That must really suck if your a performing arts kid with croocked teeth then! I thought they might get them those clear braces but it'd probably be too expensive! Thanks for the info. I shall now stop asking stupid questions

No over-analysis or ranting about the lack of the Olivers in the final from me today. My finger's all swollen so typing is being kept to a minimum! But! I've decided I think Johnny and Chester would make perfect Tobys (Tobies? The plural of Toby!) in Sweeney Todd. I can just picture them both singing 'Not While I'm Around'...

I'm pretty sure a while back they were only recruiting form the London area! I wonder why they changed that? Maybe they decided to give the ex-Olivers boys another chance after all? Or they decided they couldn't get away with recruiting form the London area alone, since they already offered Gareth a part as well? Either way, great news!

Just read a post on the Internet Forum from someone who went to last nights show. Seems they rehearsed the Take That song between shows and Joseph started crying. Most of the Nancy's tried to comfort him though it was Rachel who calmed him down. Guess it got too much for him on the night.

They'd both make amazing Tobys (I'm gonna spell it like that - Tobies just feels wrong to type!).

I love that song as well - I wish we could've head the Olivers sing it.

It would have made a better choice of duet than Singing In The Rain.

Yeah, I noticed that too - a few weeks ago it was definitely just from the London area. I agree, it's maybe because they offered Gareth a part, who is as far away from London as it could be

In Billy Elliot though, I think only Billy (and maybe Michael?) are housed in the Billy House - the rest (ballet girls, tall boys etc) have to be in the London area because it'll be too expensive to get them a chaperone etc. So if some kids from far away are recruited for Oliver!, I wonder whether their family would have to relocate completely/find foster parents themselves, or would their accommodation be provided for by the production? Sorry if that makes no sense

Oh no! That makes me feel really bad - kudos to him though for being able to perform afterwards, though - he was really good in the Take That performance.

And I'm quite pleased that it was Rachel who managed to calm him down, too - she got a lot of unfair stick for being cold/emotionless etc but I always thought she was just intense, not cold.

I think Rachel got a lot of unfair stick. I particularly remember her look of absolute delight when watching Harry singing with Sarah and mouthing along to the words. She seemed to adore the Olivers.

Yes, that's the impression I got - I thought it was sweet when she was singing along to "Together" - and I think she got a bit teary eyed at the sweetness of Gwion and Jessie's duet yesterday, bless her. I think Kwayedza said once that Rachel "appears serious, but that's because she's really focused on getting the role" which I think is right. She appeared much softer, relaxed and happy now that the pressure was off yesterday
