It's weird that the three understudies include two of the boys we had pretty much pegged as final 3 Olivers! Of course I'd like to see Gwion, but I think if I ever do make it to see Oliver I'm going to be happy with whoever I see! Whether or not I'll make it before the IDA Ollies' contracts run out I don't know!

I'm still working my way through series 1. He's particularly good in the fourth story - about the treasure and the dolphins - I got a tiny bit emotional at the end with the death scene. I seriously need to get out more. Seriously. But he is the best actor in it. Not that I'm biased.

And I'm pretty optimistic that the chosen 3 will be replaced by other Ollies from the show after their contracts are up. At 11 Chester and Alex could certainly take it on and they'd have 6 months stage experience behind them to banish any nerves that Cameron may have been worried about. At 13 maybe not Johnny but fingers crossed.

Oops. Have just remembered Chester's actually 12, not 11, but I hope he'll still have time to be Oliver at some point. Will hand in my Oliver Obsessive card, and hang head in shame.

Lol, you're forgiven. Even if only for the fact that none of us noticed before you did yourself. Which goes to show maybe all of us got a little less Oliver Obsessed over the weeks...

I agree with you it would be great if the three understudy boys could replace the three original Olivers after a while. Although I'm not sure whether it will happen, because I don't know if they are allowed to perform that much if they've already performed a great many shows as understudies/gangmembers. But I still don't quite know what the rules are like regarding performing kids in the UK, so it might be fine.

Hi guys! I've been away on holiday for the past week - hope you're all well. I had a peek at the new series of Roman Mysteries on iPlayer, and lol, Harry seems to have grown up a lot since Series 1. Flavia and Jonathan's characters still irritate me enormously and Harry's easily the best actor out of the lot (although maybe I'm just biased). Also check out an extremely mini-interview with Harry on the set: http://youtube.com/watch?v=-g412AzAjxk

Think Jonathon's getting more annoying with every passing episode. Had high hopes he'd come a cropper in the gladiator arena but twas not to be.

Thanks for the interview link, Ashrell, it's lovely. Was waiting for him to say what he missed most was his ....family. Or his ...friends. But no - banoffee pie! Brilliant!

I saw the Roman Mysteries DVD at work tonight, it made me think of this thread! (...yes, I lead an interesting life ) Have you got a multiregional DVD player Chaperone?

Speaking of The Roman Mysteries, I caught an episode the other day. The kids who weren't Harry annoyed me so much I didn't watch it again

Lol, I have a friend (living near Aberdeen too btw) who was just there this afternoon! If I'd have known they sold it there, I'd have asked him to get me a copy and mail it to me! Oh well... I'll find a way to get it

Ooh, where does your friend live? You could probably get it online? Or PM me and I can get it for you (with 10% staff discount! Haha!) Though it's probably easier to get it on Amazon or something!

A village in The Mearns. And yeah, I'll check Amazon. Thanks though!

Think it's only 9 pounds or thereabouts on Play.com. And they do free postage too! And with DVD you can skip to Harry's parts!

Oh, I forgot to post this the other day! I'm sure I saw Gareth in Aberdeen on Friday! Or else a small boy who looked EXACTLY like him! Lol! I can't think of any reason for him to have been here, but he has a long lost twin brother in Scotland.

Haha, it'll have been pretty awesome if it really was him Maybe you should have approached him and said "are you an Oliver by any chance?"

That's what I would have done.
I have a friend in Bristol and she says she's seen Arthur about a few times!

What did your friend do to see him? Just look for the coolest kid in town, right?!

If I saw Arthur I'd have to go up to him and ask for a high-five!

Aww, me too! The more I see of Arthur the more I think what a little character he is.

What a bizarre episode of Roman Mysteries this week. Obviously improved somewhat cos Jonathon wasn't in it but Flavia was about five times more annoying than usual to compensate. But is there no end to young Harry's talents? Fresco painting!

Isn't he in a local production of Oliver or something? I heard rumours he was.

I really grew to like Arthur. He was full of confidence and I thought he was adorable, plus who can forget his very individual sense of style?

Arthur? Aww, good for him.

Also, is it really sad that I still miss IDA and coming in here to chat about the Olivers, even though it finished ages ago?

If it is, then I'm really sad too. So therefore, I say it isn't!

It would be good on Arthur if he was actually in a local Oliver production! No news on any of the other boys, anyone? Anything on the campingtrip?
I miss IDA...
