Yes 9.87m. I was looking at The Royle Family.

Overall, I think it did very well this year - even though it was dropped from prime time to 5.15pm. It is a worry that the BBC might take it off Christmas Day altogether next year.

Surely, after the big fuss being made over the 50th Anniversary, 2013 is the one year you do want a Christmas Special.

Yes, but this is the BBC we're talking about. Its the sort of special occasion that would prompt idiot BBC directors to cancel the show and drop its Christmas episode.

The Bells of Saint John received 6.18 million viewers according to the overnight viewing figures, 29.8% of the total TV Audience.

Doctor Who was the third most-viewed programme on Saturday, being beaten by ITV's Saturday's Night Takeaway with 7.19 million viewers, and The Voice UK with 6.24 million viewers.

Taking into account that live entertainment/talent shows (Ant and Dec and The Voice) tend to be watched live, I could well imagine Who becoming the most watched show of the evening once iplayer etc is added on.

The Voice may very well drop in the ratings in the weeks to come too, especially once it's past the Blind Auditions.

Total will be in the region of about 7.5 million or more after iPlayer figures etc I'd guess.
