I hope this works:

AotD
Live+VOSDAL 6,439
Day 1 7,527
Day 2 7,800
Day 3 8,019

BoSJ
Live+VOSDAL 6,184
Day 1 7,329
Day 2 7,821
Day 3 8,035
This does highlight rather nicely the increasing importance of time shifting. Two episodes roughly half a year apart, and the increase in timeshift is still quite noticeable.....

How much had the Snowmen accrued through timeshift after 3 days?

TBOSJ had timeshifted more after 2 days, and I was interested whether the Snowmen had closed the gap. If not, you have to think there's a record-breaking timeshift for Who in the offing.

BoSJ update:
8,187m

So the timeshifting is slowing down slightly as would be expected. Still think 8.4m/8.5m is possible though

Thanks Yog! Are SNT and The Voice still head-to-head?

I would imagine that christmas specials arent really comparable, they probably don't timeshift as well until after Christmas week what with the busy period.

Bearing in mind that The Snowmen is the most timeshifted TV broadcast of all time, I'd say you're wrong!

There isn't much of a shift in these two.
SNT is sitting at 7,308
The Voice is on 7,338

But bear in mind that SNT excludes +1 and also, at the end of the week when the adverts get stripped out of it, it'll get quite a boost.

Timeshifting sounds like the evil plot of the Great Intelligence or something

Yes, but not in the three days afterwards. Most episodes normally drop off day by day, but The Snowmen remained constantly strong.

Think about it, who actually has the time to catch up on something on Boxing Day?

Well, according to the data posted on this very thread, 0.8m people did watch the episode on Boxing Day...

The figures were something like this for the first few days of The Snowmen:

LIVE (25 Dec): 5.7m
VOSDAL: 1.9m
26 Dec: 0.8m
27 Dec: 0.6m

Well I don't remember seeing that in the main ratings thread in the TV forum. I stand corrected!

So, do we have the official final figures for Saturday evening? It would be useful to know how Who stands against Voice and Ant&Dec.

I won't be able to get Official Final figures until Monday. Consolidated continues to get added on till 18:15 on Saturday for Who and 19:00 for The Voice and SNT.

TBoSJ is currently up to 8,307m

I'll check the other two later...

erm what on earth are you talking about?

1) the overnight rating was 6.18 million

2) the final ratings won't be out till Monday officially, although we sometimes get them on Sunday from a source.

3) however up till yesterday the figures were up to 8.31 million

4) all of this information is contained in the posts immediately above yours

twas a sunny day, many people were off out making the most of it...and its only about half a million less than the rpevious week....which is common with Doctor Who anyway...not to mention compared to the previous week Akhaten didnt garner nearly as much promo/trailer circulation.....i suspect next week may do better due to hype of Ice Warrior return etc But 5.8million is the start of the story

The numbers you're looking at were for The Snowmen -- 5.8million watched it live, with nearly 2 million watching it the same day via iplayer or whilst it was broadcasting. Final figures were in excess of 9 million

we won't get overnight ratings for last night until the morning. They are still adding on ratings for today for the show and will continue to so for several hours yet......
