Very slightly up on last week... good! Good!

SCD is edging ever closer, too.

1. X Factor - 8.7m
2. Doctor Who - 5.2
3. The Chase - 4.4m

With such strong contenders on ITV like The Chase which is immensely popular, and X factor, 5.2 million is very strong, considering. Robot also had slightly over 25% share too.

Very good that. I was expected a little more of a drop, but to stay above the 5m for overnights is good news... Should hopefully get a final of over 7m again.

With the word spreading that next week is a Moffat classic, hopefully the overnights for that episode improve a little bit more!

Are The XFactor's ratings declining at all?

Holding on to around 8.5m overnight... Next few weeks should be interesting to see if the Simon & Cheryl effect still holds!

Don't worry, catch up usually adds 2 million to the overnights. I think when Tumble is replaced by Strictly, the overnights will go over 6 million. It's probably Tumble that's holding Doctor Who back rather than any failings with the show, which has become excellent under Capaldi.

Robot of Sherwood got an AI of 82.

Robot of Sherwood averaged 1.085 million national viewers in Australia.

8/10 is proving a popular trend for S8.

82 is still on the low side (it's just below the average for BBC drama and one of DW lowest ratings). Obviously there's something people aren't enjoying so much about this series so far. I suspect a combo of less likeable Doctor puts some off along with the fact that people are possibly just getting a bit tired of Moffat's DW and it doesn't feel particularly fresh any more. Hence it coming out as average.

While it's true that 82 is lower than normal for Doctor Who in recent years, it isn't 'average'. 82 falls into the 'good' category with anything at 85 or above 'excellent'. As for trying to understand the reason behind the figures....well, I could do without the headache!

It's average for the BBC whose drama output has an average AI of around 84. So it's good but falling on about average for the BBC and below average in comparison to DW.

Although, maybe the average is now being skewed by Doctor Who being lower thus making 82 more like the new average. *brainmelt*

Thanks Yog.

I'd like a day 1 & 2 update. Slightly lower after 2 days compared to Into The Dalek. Think the final might be lower too.

VOSDAL means "Viewing On Same Day As Live " - I just looked that up!!

So do the overnights include both live and VOSDAL viewers?

When I think of AIs, I remember that Last of The Time Lords beat out Blink, The Beast Below scored the same as The Eleventh Hour / Human Nature / The Family of Blood, and the Series 3 Dalek episodes scored higher than Dalek. Then I conclude that the audience don't know what they want and move on

8.2 out of 10 instead of 8.6 out of 10 may be worth noting, but rest assured that it apparently takes Love & Monsters levels of nonsense to take us in to the 70s.

Despite what we as fans think of Dalek stories the GP still look out for their episodes, so Into The Dalek was imho bound to be a bit higher then Robots.

I would have liked the finals to be a bit higher, as i think this series so far has been a lot better then series 7b [imho of course!]

Hopefully we keep getting over the 7m mark.... Would like it to be better, but that's still a great rating for a drama nowadays.

I'm always worried that when an episode gets a mixed response (as Sherwood seems to have had) it will impact on the following week's episode. Also, I'm not too keen on the trailer for next week's episode either - doesn't seem to convey much story. I hope it does well though!

Those are the best next time trailers!

"Next time... things happen!"

Anyone for a Kronkburger?
