Ah that is brilliant, so would you agree this is definitely a new peak for Doctor Who with more global recognition as a show and a brand?

It does have a very good vibe so far. However, being a pessimist, I'm not holding my breath.
![]() And means a lot in the bigger scheme of things....ratings are as strong as ever in the Uk and ratings are expanding even more worldwide...EPIC! |

No doubt someone will claim Who failing to get into the Top 5 is a disaster.

Totally well i always end to love music, shows, anything that has a forward thinking way of nature, it has a timeless appeal
And totally and to be honest i cannot name a show that has been on for 7 series/seasons back to back and achieved such strong and sustained ratings year-on-year in comparison with each other, it is fantastic. Not that ratings impact on quality...same as commercial sales etc but it does showcase that Doctor Who will still be around for its 100th Anniversary OOH YEAH!!! Quote:

Doctor who achieved an overnight of 6.6 million for 'a town called mercy' at 7.35pm last night. That is an overnight share of 29.1 per cent. Doctor who followed the 'strictly come dancing' pre recorded show which also proved popular, with an overnight average of 8 million. It gained its highest ever launch show audience giving doctor who a good lead in.

This will be doctor who's highest overnight of the seventh series so far and its the show highest overnight figure since may 2010 with flesh and stone which had an overnight of 6.8 million. (This of course ignoring the christmas day overnights!) Can't it follow strictly every week? The girl who waited had an overnight audience of 6 million last year following the strictly launch show so doctor who series seven is proving more popular.

I think the ratings would go up if the series weren't being split in half.

And yes Series 4 had a boost because Journeys End had big final ratings...but still this is brilliant and long hope it continues! Brilliant move for Moff by having 5 episodes in the Autumn... |
