I dont think its hugely indicative of what the final outcome is going to be though - in Jessie's case for example I reckon the reason that she has less fans then the others is probably due to the fact that her home fanbase is Irish and in Ireland, Bebo is the main social networking site and facebook isnt widely used at all so therefore it stands to reason that she wouldnt have as many members!

Oh my god. Why does Tara have so many members? This is a bad sign, I assumed everyone realised how awful she was, not just me!

Not always the best judge, because Chris Fountains Dancing on Ice group had around 7,000 members and Suzannes only had about 500 and she beat Chris. lol But yer also surprised to see so many in Taras group.

Very good point about the DOI groups. But my daughter would have voted for Chris Fountain even if he couldn't skate at all, because she's a Hollyoaks fan - the exact demographic of a lot of Facebookers, I'd guess, so he already had a strong following.

So it's probably not surprising that Tara and Samantha have popular support in such high numbers on Facebook. Both of them are established performers in their neck of the woods - Tara as a soap actress in Wales and Samantha as a singer and performer on the Isle of Man. I haven't checked but they probably both had existing support groups on Facebook before IDA.

It probably explains why Tara, although by common consent (on this forum) the weakest performer, has not yet been in the bottom two. I doubt that many people vote in high numbers this early on in the series, except diehard fans and anyone with an established fanbase.

Ah yes, I'd completely forgotten that Tara was in a Welsh soap. She can't survive on the strength of that for long though can she? But it does explain the high numbers.
