Irish Coffee?
I used to like an Irish Coffee now and again. Haven't had 1 for a good few years now, and I would like 1 again one day. The problem is I've forgot how to make them.
Any ideas on how to make the best Irish Coffee? |

I put some whisky in a glass with brown sugar and stir until the sugar desolves, pour on hot black coffee and stir again, then pour double cream onto the back of a teaspoon until its just below the rim. If you don't want to use sugar, because that helps the cream to float on top, you will have to use that spray foam cream instead.

If you don't want to use perccie coffee just add a spoonful of instant coffee to your whiskey and sugar then pour in hot water. If you want a perfect cream topping every time, whisk your cream lightly before adding then run it off the back of the spoon. Kick back and enjoy!

For the really quick version,
one teaspoon of brown suger in a glass, or whatever other vessel you have at hand, one teaspoon of instant coffee, add the double of your choice, (*), add just off the boil hot water leaving about an inch at the top of said vessel, top up with squirty cream and enjoy. (*) I favour Rum,Benedictine or Calvados myself |
