Yes Season 5! I don't think this has been posted...

Season 4 is likely to end with the ladies of Desp Housewives jumping to the future and ageing 5 years.

When Season 5 airs reports are rife that the ladies of Wisteria Lane will be 5 years older.

This has been reported to allow for the Scavo Children to become a little more interesting and for Susan to have bypassed the first 5 yrs of motherhood

Another Rumour has been that it will go back in time to when Mary Alice was alive and well.

I don't see this happening though as it would soon return to Season 1 territory.

Also Season 4 Finale Spoiler is.....

"Edie is going to cross a huge moral boundary that she's never crossed before on the show and it will have devastating consequences for her and lead to a shocking conclusion to her time on Wisteria Lane." Conclusion? What happens? "That's all I'm going to say."

As much as I love & am completely hooked to DH & have been since the Pilot episode, I don't want the ladies to age at the end of Season-4 as they head into Season-5 this September. It'd explain that perhaps (even though it's only a rumour yet & nothing substantiated) the writers wanna skip a few years for the Scavo kids but I love them as they are cos they're all cute little munchkins. We've already got Julie/Danielle/Dylan/Andrew as teenagers so we don't need anymore teens & their drama. If they do this, the show's gonna be in danger of putting too much attention/focus on the teens & take the spot-light away from the ladies & their husbands. They may as well end-up calling the show Desperate Kids, lol.

Since the show began, Julie was already a grown-up & we never got to see her as a baby so it'll be enjoyable to see Susan grasp motherhood cos she's ace & a litle ditzy, lol. I wanna see the humour/comedy as she brings-up this baby cos she's one of my favourites. I like the idea of Season-5 going back in time of 4 & a half years to when Mary-Alice was alive & kicking but it'll be unusual cos the end result's gonna be the same of when she shot herself. She suits a lot better as the narrator but I am intrigued to watch how she was before those dying moments cos we've only seen snippets of her in flashback mode in the Season-1 & 2 finales. I know these are just rumours but then that would men that Season-5 will be set in the past & not the present day. It'll be confusing to get your head around it all.

OMG, talk about speaking in riddles! lol I'm dying to see what's gonna happen with Edie, hope she doesn't die cos I LOVE her. She makes it SO much fun!

I've seen ALL 10-episodes & nothing of this sort happened & I'm glad cos I can't imagine what Wisteria Lane would be like without the savvy, sexy Edie. Nicolette Sherridan looks amazing. It would've been comical if the person Carlos has paid to kill Edie came to her house & attacked her & then she could've jumped his bones & say "Who are you? Waddya want?" And then she could've taken a contract out on Carlos, lol. Their pairing is funny but not as mich as Gabi & Carlos. They ROCK!

Hmm I'm sure it'll probably end up working quite well but at the minute I'm not a fan of this forwarding 5 years idea. It just seems like we've been through 4 years with these people and then missing out on 5 years would miss out a lot. I'd far rather they go 5 years forward than 5 years back though.

As for the Edie thing, sounds like she's leaving Wisteria Lane? Hopefully not in a box!

Edie is great and will be missed....although by going back in time she will be still in it.

I am pretty sure Edie signed up for the next couple of years when the other girls did.

Also if they go forward 5 years there is no reason that Edie hasn't returned either..

I'd say this will be what will happen...I can't see them getting rid of her.

I agree about The Scavo Children - the are great as they are at the moment. A small storyline with them would be good too though.

Glad I'm not the only one who isn't keen on the bosses skipping 5-years of the residents' lives when Season-5 starts. It wouldn't make any sense (unless they use flashbacks to bring the viewers up to speed of what's been happening between those missing 5-years to fill in the blanks) Don't know about you but I feel we've already had far too many flashbacks-mode in Season-1 with Paul-Young/Zack/Mary-Alic past. Season-2 with explaining Betty/Matthew/Caleb's past in Chicago & the finale when we learnt how Mary-Alice met the other ladies & finally Season-3 with the whole Orson/Alma/Gloria saga. The only time I'd love to see flashbacks now is to join the dots about the Mayfair's torrid history in Chicago.

Hope Edie doesn't leave Fairview, it's brilliant with her in it & she's got a lot going for her. I know the other ladies aren't as tight with her like they are with each-other but since episode-9/10 (I'm NOT gonna spoil it, I promise) surely it's a wake-up call that everyone should come together & make amends. She'd better not leave in a bodybag.

Too right, they shouldn't fiddle about with the kids ages & should let them grow-up naturally as the show progresses. Since the bosses have the rights to Season-7 so far & with the twins being 8 (I'm sure) they'll be 11/12 by then anyway. Parker will be 10 & Penny will be 6 or 7.

I'm strongly against the idea of them going into Season-5 by re-visiting/rehashing the past. I know the bosses wanna give the viewers a taster of getting to know how Mary-Alice was (which is thoughtful) but through the flshbacks, we already have a pretty good idea of who/how she was & how it all ended tragically for her & the Young family, with Paul serving time in prison & Zack disappearing off the face of the earth. But I always hated his character anyway. They should move forward & expand on the Mayfairs & bring Alma, Gloria & Carolyn Bigsby back from the dead cos these 3 were ace.

Getting shot of Edie (no pun intended) would be the worst move Marc Cherry & crew would make. Her funny scenes with Susan & Gabi have driven the show from a comedy angle. Bottom line is, Edie HAS to stay.

Well even though I'm not sure how it's gonna work out, they defo are skipping forward five years and the likes of Julie, Dylan and the Scavo kids are all to be replaced, except Andrew which is quite weird, although he's my fave. Thank god Julie is out, she sucks!

There will be new kids too, Gabby has two kids to look after and her husband. Susan has wracked up yet another hubby and we will see the return of Edie.

They are going to be filling in the gaps with the well used technique of flash backs but the best bit is Mark Cherry is considering doing the finale season (7) set the year BEFORE Mary Alice died, now that would be cool!

Well that's enough for now, I'm off to download the remainder of this season!

I read somewhere that they would continue on from where the current season finishes up but will use Lost-style flash forwards as part of the storylines. One Tree Hill jumped forward 4 years between seasons recently, completely bypassing the casts college years and if I'm not mistaken Sons and Daughters often jumped a few months ahead although it's probably not the best example The writers did whatever they wanted on that show but thats what mde it so great.

I've watched the final of series four and basically after the storyline concludes
Spoiler

I really like the concept because it is giving them all a fresh start in a way. I felt the whole show was getting a bit tired.

I think that moral boundary was that she was

which personally wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. The B word as mentioned in the spoiler above seems to happen all the time on DH.

Yes there are more episodes to come. I think its something to do with channel 4 and the writers strike that happened in the US, mixed up the DH time schedule in the UK.

Season 4 of DH should have ended by now, but due to the writers stike, DH took a long break and then had to film more episodes to finish the season.
The episodes were not released intime to show the rest of the season in time in the UK because channel 4 already had a schedule....so now channel 4 are holding the episodes back until they have aired whatever they have scheduled in it's place. When that finishes (think might be Euro 2008 or something along those lines) DH will start up again and series 4 will continue to the finale. I think theres about 6 or 7 episodes left yet

These will probably be aired early autum time, i guess.

In regards to the edie thing that has happened. This will happen in the episode before the finale and it's quite sad.
The last episode of the season is really good and action packed, and the ending is yet another cliff hanger. Can't wait for next season. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Edie will return next season, having gone through some significant changes in the 5 year time gap.

More general Season 5 spoilers are about to be posted in the main thread.
