What does tiscali have to offer?

i read on this Tiscali TV forum and other digital tv forums amd alot of the time they bitc* about the service and how they wished that they have never bothered with it, but i was wondering after looking on the Homechoice and Tiscali TV websites what's so wrong with it

1. It has no Satellite dish outside your house
2. It has Sky One, Paramount, FX, Sci-Fi
3. It allows you to get other Sky services (Sky Movies, Sports)
4. It has a large amount of On-Demand stuff
5. Picturebox
6. Catch Up TV
bad point is the non-PVR on a standard box but for 50 pounds you can get one and probably in the future to new customers they'll give it to them free.

Personally if i had the choice again i would go for Tiscali TV because it seems like a good service.

It is a great service - and excellent value. Yes, their CS sucks, but then so does virtually every other customer services that I've ever dealt with.

So you recommend them then? I am looking for a bit more value for money and I'm considering BT Vision or Tiscali. For me, Sky is just too expensive.

Agree about sky!

Tiscali does provide VFM, unless you want to pay extra for the sky subscrpition channels - these prices seem extortionate thru Tiscali.

No idea of BT pricing but, despite apalling CS already mentioned, i would recommend Tiscali.

Compare the channels offered by BT Vision and Tiscali. If you want more on demand choice, then BT looks better; if you want more mainstream channels (Sky One, Discovery, FX etc) then Tiscali would be your better choice.

I think Tiscali has a lot more on demand content that BT Vision, as well as it's own channel C1 there is Discovery, HBO, 4oD, National Geographic to name just a few. Not to mention the movie channels, music channels and some children's i think too

yes, tiscali do have more OD stuff than BTV, but some of the shows they have on Tiscali are a bit older, Tiscali were smart with adding more channels on there service with the OD, because if you think about it they are cheaper than BTV

I always thought Tiscali (well Homechoice) had the most on demand content for a UK provider. Has this changed?

It all depends on your needs/wants and how much you believe 'value' costs.

We've got Sky and reckon it's really good value for what we get but we wanted HD and are quite happy for Sky to be working on their VoD stuff meantime.
